Today, we pause to honor the dedication, compassion, and hard work of people everywhere. Especially those on our incredible hospice team ✨

Labor Day is a reminder that the work we do matters. At NWKareS, that means walking beside patients and families with dignity, comfort, and compassion. Our nurses, social workers, chaplains, volunteers, and support staff give their hearts every single day, and we are so grateful for their commitment to going above and beyond.

Thank you to our community, our staff, and all who dedicate themselves to caring for others. May today be a moment of rest, reflection, and appreciation.

Out of respect and solidarity, the Hospice Office will close this afternoon to honor the life and service of Undersheriff Brandon Gaede.

We believe in the power of presence, compassion, and community. We stand with those who protect and serve, and we grieve with all who are hurting 🖤💙

DEPUTY BRANDON GAEDE ES**RT HOME
Tomorrow afternoon (Tue 7/1)
Time: Leaving Wichita appx Noon, ETA at Hays appx 1445 (subject to change/delay)

We have been informed that Deputy Gaede will be escorted home to Phillipsburg tomorrow afternoon. The convoy will come westbound on I-70, exit at Vine St, and proceed north. We are calling on everyone who can set aside the time to come out and stand in honor along Vine St north of I-70 and the 161/163/168 overpasses. Bring your flags. We do not have an exact timeframe right now, but it should be in the afternoon. We will update as soon as we know, but that may not be until tomorrow.

We ask that you please be respectful of any businesses whose lots you might be parking in - do not take up all of their customer parking, observe signs, do not block driveways/fire lanes/no parking zones, and do not park anywhere on Vine St proper.
