🧠💜 Today is World Stroke Day

Every second counts when it comes to recognizing and responding to a stroke — but did you know your eyes can also reveal early warning signs?

Sudden vision loss, blurred vision, or double vision can sometimes be among the first symptoms of a stroke. As primary eye care providers, optometrists play a vital role in detecting these signs and helping patients get the urgent care they need.

This World Stroke Day, the Kansas Optometric Association encourages everyone to:
⚡ Know the warning signs of stroke (F.A.S.T. — Face drooping, Arm weakness, Speech difficulty, Time to call 911)

October is Vision Awareness & Eye Safety Month in Kansas!

Drs. Riley and Ron Juenemann want to remind everyone that healthy vision starts with prevention. From yearly eye exams to protecting your eyes from UV rays and giving them a rest from screens. 👓💙

With Halloween around the corner, be cautious of fake or costume contact lenses. They might look fun, but they can cause serious eye infections or even vision loss if not prescribed by an eye doctor.

Your eyes are one of your greatest gifts!
