Let's get to know each other ➡️

I am Mary Golden, a local veteran spouse and owner of a wellness business.

Alongside USMC Wayne Golden and US Army Spouse, Giulia Iannitelli Grotenhuis, we are the founders of The Fred T Grotenhuis Veterans CC Project.

Since 2019, we have been finding ways to support veterans with holistic wellness. This September, along with Community Support, we installed an Outdoor Gym at The Harmony Twp Rec Fields in honor of local hero and Vietnam helicopter pilot, Fred T Grotenhuis.

In November, we hosted our first VETERAN'S DAY CELEBRATION. It was a successive event where we saw old friends, made some new ones and enjoyed delicious food from Cafe 57 and The Ash Farm .

Thanks to all that came out to the Fred T Grotenhuis Veterans Community Center event today. Thanks to Cafe 57 for excellent lunch sandwiches and cinnamon rolls for our guests! They came in on a Sunday just for us and it was great appreciated!

Thanks to all the Harmony and Warren County Veterans who came together today at our VETERAN'S DAY CELEBRATION !

Friends of The Fred T Grotenhuis Veterans CC Project 's Namesake Fred T. Grotenhuis were there and shared memories and stories with Giulia Iannitelli Grotenhuis.

The United States Navy, Marines, Air Force and Army were all represented through the generations, with Veterans who served their country and overseas, and abroad in places such as Germany, Vietnam and Afghanistan.

I met an Army Nurse who served alongside her husband during The Vietnam War, Veteran neighbors with a frog pond and a young veteran family who own The Ash Farm and baked the most delicious cookies for this special event.

We are grateful to all those who have served and their families whose strength and support make it possible for veterans to leave home, train, serve tours around the world and have hope and love to return to. Shoutout to Marine Mom, Dede Golden who came out in the cold today too ♡

Tomorrow is our------>

VETERAN'S DAY CELEBRATION

Come by anytime between 1-4pm for a delicious lunchbox with a sandwich of your choice and salads from along with yummy treats from The The Ash Farm and music by DJ GOLDN

We'll also have soft drinks, coffee and hot chocolate under the pavilion.

Come eat, hang and meet a fellow veteran and their family. While you're here, you can check out the new Outdoor Gym that was installed earlier this Fall, thanks to supporters of The Fred T Grotenhuis Veterans CC Project like Warren County Hot Air Balloon Festivals, Mpoweryogawellness and of course, the wonderful, Harmony Township.

Hello Warren County Veterans and Friends!
