MANGO KAROT~ Reunion Island- Zamal Still hanging out in our R&D garden, we grew out several different Zamal varieties from this southern African island this year. Rare and extremely long flowering, Mango Karot has that interesting carrot aroma that preservationists have talked about. It is also supposed to be very psychoactive with almost psychodelic features. She’s going to hang out a bit more with the hope we can bring it to finish.

We will have our local 🌱 farmers joining us and offering specials on all of their offerings. In addition do some early holiday shopping at Sun & Cricket and enjoy 20% of all gifts including Christmas ornaments. Both tasting rooms will also be open and will be offering complimentary tastings with a purchase of a bottle of wine. Wickson Restaurant will be serving Bunch/ lunch until 3pm.

MOON-AGE DAYDREAM~ (Colombian Corinto x Vintage Thai Stick)

Mid-November and we are finally wrapping up harvest tomorrow. We’ve gone through numerous rainstorms over the past month and we couldn’t be more pleased and grateful for this seasons full term harvest which began 9 months ago. In particular, our long flowering sativas have held up so well during the weather events we had this fall.
~
Moon-age Daydream is one of a few of our breeding projects at Sugar Hill Farm and it is truly special. We crossed a very rare Colombian Corinto to an old Thai stick cultivar and are enamored with the results. From the nose, to the bud structure, to the mold resistance, she is a keeper. Unlike others, we have made a commitment in our breeding program to start with the original landrace and heirloom building blocks. Corinto is one of the low land Colombian varieties, known for its very uplifting effects, as is the exotic Thai varietals from the 70s. Look for this on our menu in 2026 after a long cure.

NORTHERN LIGHTS- Classic Heirloom

It had been years since we grew Northern Lights at the farm, so we were thrilled to acquire seeds from a preservationist who worked with some of the old stock that had been stored since 1983.

As the story goes….the NL-1 or “Purest Indica” is the original variety of Northern Lights. It was first acquired in 1979 by Seattle Greg through the author Murphy Stevens and became the backbone of all the Northern Lights hybrids. Murphy worked with these genetics and developed the Northern Lights line of #1 through #11 —the number one being closest to the “Purest Indica” and the number eleven being the most tropical or sativa leaning.

We grew out #1 and #5 this year, which we think are the best of the line. Both are being released tho coming week.

With potency in the mid 20s, Northern Lights is in our GREEN category for focused effects. The NL-1 will lean to a more narcotic sedation.

First COA tests of the season and though we don’t chase THsee, we have our first heavy hitter on the menu with over thirty percent. It also has an additional 2% CBG!

BTW- Strawberry Meltshake smells like the ripest strawberry’s in spring. We will be releasing this cultivar, as well as Northern Lights (NL-1 & NL-5), Big Sur Holy W**d and Acapulco Gold later this week.

HUIXTEPEC~ Oaxaca Landrace.

Like some of the other Oaxacan landraces we have grown out, these are some of the last plants we have hanging out and they still need more time. The Oaxaca cultivars and their effects are indeed special. We were fortunate to acquire seeds from a preservationist in Mexico that is collecting genetics from different regions and villages.
