It’s these small tweaks that bring change and joy to the daily routine. The patio table is not that great for Dad to sit at but we made it work 😝. It’s all about finding ways even when it’s hard.

Lots to be grateful for but It’s been a rough Summer…
Dad has been in and out of the hospital, fighting pneumonia and other infections.
It goes without saying how terrible it is for our loved one but I’m not sure people realize just how consuming a loved one being in the hospital is for the Caregiver.
And Post hospital your trying to find your bearings, follow new orders, navigate your loved ones new routine with treatments and needing more sleep.
It. Becomes. Your. Every. Day. Life.
And I’m not complaining. I’m SO incredibly thankful my Dad fought these infections, is home and everyday doing better. Thank God. 🙏
Im just acknowledging how these things can go and how they can be heads for everyone.

BUT…..
Today the sun was shining, he felt great and so we went to our favorite orchard for apples and fall raspberries. 🍎🤗❤️

Well last night was a rough one.
😮‍💨
Sitting up in bed every exhale was raspy and garbled. But oxygen never falled below 94….we tried everything from eucalyptus to over the counters along with the meds.
Today he was better but Walk in said to just go to the ER….
Fortunately in just 2 hours of arriving they have done all the testing and have a plan for more respiratory treatments & longer duration of steroids. No pneumonia or infection!

It’s a rough time of year for respiratory health, take good care everyone! 🧡
