There is a moment when the mind softens and the body remembers.
When you move to Yawanawá music, something ancient stirs—not as an idea, but as a lived experience.

The music invites you to listen. To feel. To let the earth rise through your feet and meet your heart, liberating what lives within you. As you dance, layers begin to fall away—stories you’ve been carrying, tensions you didn’t know how to name. What remains is presence. Breath. A quiet remembering of what is sacred within you.

You can witness this transformation unfolding in the video: energy rooting downward while opening outward at the same time. This is not just dance—it is prayer in motion. A living bridge between earth and spirit, between cultures and distant places on the planet, forming a shared field of prayer through movement and connection in this moment on Earth.

This is the heart of Sacred Bridge Online.
A space to reconnect with Indigenous wisdom, embodied practice, and the deep intelligence that lives within your own body. A place to remember that what you are seeking has always been inside you—waiting for rhythm, relationship, and reverence to bring it alive.

✨ Step onto the bridge. Let the music move you home. ✨

INTO THE FIELD OF STILLNESS: Deep Space
A Yoga, Breath, and Sound Immersion
May 22–24, 2026
with John Minks & Billy Pinkerton

“Sound reveals where words dissolve.”
— inspired by Hazrat Inayat Khan

Step beyond the familiar and enter a realm of resonance, presence, and deep listening. This three-day immersive retreat invites you to slow time, soften the body, and open into expanded states of awareness through the alchemy of yoga, breathwork, meditation, and sound.

Each day unfolds as a carefully curated journey—flowing vinyasa to awaken vitality, restorative practices to nourish the nervous system, and immersive sound experiences designed to quiet the mind and attune the body to subtle frequencies. Through yogic sound meditation and expansive Deep Space sound baths, vibration becomes a guide—supporting release, clarity, and a felt sense of inner vastness.

This retreat offers a balance of guided practice and open space. Between sessions, you’ll have time to wander forest trails, enjoy the spa, rest deeply, or simply sit with the beauty of the surrounding mountains. Nature, silence, and community weave together to create a container for genuine renewal.

Rooted in warmth, ease, and a spirit of curiosity, this gathering is designed to support physical restoration, emotional balance, and mental spaciousness—without striving or pressure. Come as you are. All levels of experience are welcome.

This is an invitation to listen more deeply—to your breath, your body, and the quiet intelligence within.

Matsini Yawanawá, chief and spiritual leader of Mutum Village, comes from an unbroken lineage of Pajés—master healers and ceremonial leaders of the Yawanawá people. He trained under the legendary Pajé Tata, who played a vital role in restoring Yawanawá traditions after years of cultural suppression.
Indigenous to the Amazon rainforest, the Yawanawá have fiercely protected their land, language, and spiritual heritage, surviving near extinction after early contact with outsiders.

Sacred Bridge online is an invitation to sit with the convergences between the peoples of the Amazon and the peoples of Tibet—to learn from cultures that are timeless and deeply relevant today. These traditions offer guidance on how to be guardians of the land, our communities, our families, and ourselves during times of profound change.
Across vast distances and radically different landscapes—the high mountains of Tibet and the world’s largest forest, the Amazon—two Indigenous cultures hold strikingly aligned understandings of the dream world, the plant realm, and humanity’s relationship with the living Earth. Though separated by geography, their cosmologies and symbols echo one another, reminding us that truth is not bound by place or time.

There is so much in the world right now that can feel difficult to understand. When we look outward, the pace of change, the instability, and the deep divisions can leave us ungrounded, searching for something steady to hold.

What we can anchor into is wisdom that has endured. Across vast distance and radically different landscapes—the high mountains of Tibet and the world’s largest forest, the Amazon, home of the Yawanawá—two Indigenous cultures carry strikingly aligned understandings of the dream world, the plant realm, and humanity’s relationship with the living Earth. Though separated by geography, their cosmologies, symbols, and teachings echo one another, reminding us that truth is not bound by place.

This shared language of dreams, plants, and sacred ecology offers a deeper orientation—one rooted in listening, reciprocity, and relationship. It reminds us that we are not alone, and that ancient wisdom continues to guide us toward balance, reverence, and care for all life.

Sacred Bridge is an invitation to sit with these convergences, to learn from them, and to remember what connects us—across cultures, lands, and time.

Walking as prayer.
Presence as action.
Compassion as a path forward.

Since October 26, 2025, a group of nineteen monks from the Vietnamese Theravada Buddhist tradition have been walking—step by mindful step—from Texas toward Washington, D.C., on a 2,300-mile Walk for Peace.

Initiated by monks from the Huong Dao Vipassana Bhavana Center in Fort Worth, this 110-day pilgrimage is rooted in the teachings of Gautama Buddha, offering a quiet yet powerful response to a world in need of loving-kindness, patience, and clarity.

Moving through the southeastern United States and onward to the nation’s capital, the monks walk not as protest, but as practice—pausing in towns and cities to meet communities through silence, dialogue, and walking meditation. Some, including head monk Bhikkhu Pannakara, are completing the journey barefoot as an expression of humility and devotion.

Accompanied by a rescue dog named Aloka, their presence has become a living reminder that peace is not an abstract idea—it is something we embody, step by step.

At Menla and Tibet House US, we honor and uplift this offering of mindful action and compassionate presence in the world. May their walk remind us all that the path itself can be a teaching.
