The Annunciation of Jesus's birth is in Luke 1:26-38 of the Bible, where the Archangel Gabriel visits the Virgin Mary in Nazareth to announce she will conceive and bear a son, Jesus, by the power of the Holy Spirit, who will be called the Son of God and rule an eternal kingdom. Mary's response, "Behold the maidservant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word," signifies her faith and acceptance of God's plan.

Rest: He promises to provide peace, relief, and refreshment.

Yoke: Taking His yoke means submitting to His teachings and way of life, which is described as easy and light, unlike the heavy burdens imposed by religious leaders.

Gentleness: Jesus emphasizes His own gentle and humble nature as the source of this rest.

Romans 8:28 provides a framework for believers to understand suffering within the context of God's larger plan, encouraging them to trust in His goodness and purpose, even when they can't see the positive outcome. 

Also, the message of Jeremiah 29:11 resonates with believers today, reminding them that God is in control and has a good plan for their lives, even amidst challenges.

Wow—just saw this and felt compelled to share.
It really made me stop and reflect on how we treat one another.

Loving Jesus means loving our brothers and sisters—even, and especially, those who are different from us. It’s about seeing others through His eyes and treating them with the same care and compassion we would offer ourselves or the ones we love most.

My heart is set on Jesus. I do my best to not just talk the talk, but walk the walk. I know I’m imperfect, broken even—but each day, I strive to live a life that reflects His love and grace. That’s all I can offer: my honest effort to do better, love deeper, and follow Him more closely.

Happy Freedom day! Juneteenth honors the date (June 19, 1865) when enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, finally received news of their freedom, two months after the end of the Civil War and over two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.

Juneteenth is a relatively new federal holiday in the USA, officially recognized in 2021, which means many government offices and organizations observe the day with closures or special events.
