Anyone running a physical or hand therapy practice knows how much Medicare changes can affect your business. Do you know about the upcoming Medicare PTA payment cut?

As of January 1, 2022, Medicare will be cutting payments for PTA services. PTA services will be paid at 85% of payments for PT services. Other payers, including Tricare and Humana, are expected to follow Medicare but have not made official announcements yet.

Feeling unsure about what you should do about the PTAs on your staff?

PT providers are understandably concerned about this significant cut. Some are laying off PTAs or not hiring any more PTAs. At PT Management, we are encouraging the hiring of PTAs for 2 reasons.
