The energy of death always brings gifts. One of those is dreams.

When I was in the void - my postpartum coach identity dying, no clarity on what came next - a deer appeared in my dreams. Not with answers. With medicine.

🦌The deer has played the same role across myth and story for millennia: transforming hunters into receivers, shifting us from forced finding to unexpected discovery.

This is what dreams do during identity death: They don’t solve the void. They teach you how to move through it. They speak the language your ego can’t argue with.

When something dies in you, your ego quiets (if you know how to work with the energy of the ending).
Your soul finally has space to speak. And it speaks loudest through dreams.

I’ve been a manager for almost 6 years. Thought I was fair. Maybe strict — but fair. Rules are rules, right?

That’s what I told myself last week when I fired one of my employees, Celia.
Her third tardy this month. Three strikes = termination. Simple.

She didn’t argue, just nodded, grabbed her bag, and left.

Later that day, I overheard two coworkers whispering:
“Did you hear about Celia’s son?”
“Yeah… she’s been sleeping in her car with him.”

My stomach dropped.

Turns out she’d been evicted. No family nearby. No support. Shelters full.
Those “tardies”? She was driving across town so her 6-year-old could shower at a church before school — so he wouldn’t be teased.

And I fired her for it.

I didn’t sleep that night. The next morning, I called. Texted. Nothing.
After hours of searching, I finally found her car parked behind a grocery store. Her little boy was curled up under a blanket in the back seat.

I knocked. She looked up — tired, scared.
“I came to give you your job back,” I said quietly.
“But more than that… I came because I should’ve listened. And I want to help.”

That moment changed everything for me.

Being a manager isn’t just about enforcing rules.
It’s about understanding the people behind them.

Celia didn’t need discipline.
She needed compassion. ❤️

What if the self-help industry and operating in ego?

Ego: your sense of identity. The part of your psyche that GRASPS and holds tightly onto “I am THIS kind of a person”, or “I am THIS as my profession…”

… What if we stop saying the same things about ourselves, and instead let it all fall away, temporarily, and ask our SOUL - the wisest, most cosmically-aligned part of us, who we really are?

That we wish we had, or fantasize about, or lust after in others —-

What if we are still just playing the ego’s game?

The energy of death is a mystery, and it is a force. It does not allow you to stay stagnant; it takes you somewhere new. But between the time that you’re taken away from the identity, that you knew previously, the one where your ego felt comfortable, and confident in, And the new chapter of your life or the new identity or the new circumstances that are going to arrive there is an empty space . in identity death Doula work, we call this the void. I love the void. This is where we birth, our souls. The void is the birthing grounds of your cosmic consciousness. It is where you can pull from the cosmic womb The most authentic medicine that you carry in your soul for this lifetime. Unlike traditional, self-help work, where your focus is getting from .8 to point B, and you have a known destination, our only destination in identity death work is the void. And as Doula, we help you trust the void sit in the void and work with the energy of the void so that you can birth from within your next steps so that your soul can make the call, not your ego.

Your soul is birthing, so you need to die.

Not physically die… The energy of death is a mystery that weaves in and out of our lives, knocking on the doors of our previous identity.

Identity death moves through our lives constantly—stealing away our passions, our resources, our energy—telling us it’s time to move on.

In our death-averse culture (our Indigenous-wisdom-wiped, colonized culture), we have lost the art of acknowledging and noticing when death comes knocking.

We are so scared of stopping what’s familiar, of letting go of what we have, that we just push and keep going—keep creating, producing, being productive.

But this has a toll on us, because Death is wise and powerful. It will come quickly or slowly, but it will move us. That is what death does: it moves us towards our destiny.

The ego, though, wants nothing to do with this change. And if we are not tending to the parts of ourselves that are ending, we may push way past an Identity Death threshold without even knowing it… missing the chance to unite with our soul and feed her to this lifetime in the way she wants to come forth.

I know it’s scary, and can feel complex. I know you go back and forth. That’s why we exist at … We are here for that intense portal that you KNOW will birth something onto this planet, just don’t know What, When or How.

YOU ARE THE MEDICINE. But not ego-you. The cosmic, soul of you - the once-in-many-lifetimes version of you that has been waiting to take center stage.

We will help her ‘crown’ and make it earth-side. Because humanity needs her now more than ever.

There is a part of you that knows the unknown….

That’s why you keep feeling the tug to something beyond this.

“The calling will keep calling, if it’s your calling.”

But before you can move into something new, fully, you need to let your current identity be laid to rest. ❤️

We are looking for the soul-searchers who have called bu****it on systems of oppression.

Your sense of identity is needed as a human, but it can also become an obstacle to you orienting yourself to what your soul came here to do.

Ultimately this was the big gap I felt in religion: no one talked about the role our EGO - our identity-grasping tendencies as humans - was playing in our spiritual life.

To not see your ego is to live in a cage.

As I’ve studied what “the ego” is - the glue that holds our psyche together, but also the Boulder that can block out our spiritual nature - I began to see it in the systems that have constructed our culture in the USA/Western Society:

✔️ patriarchy
✔️colonization
✔️imperialism

I started to see how, to preserve their identities/ego-cemented states, men in power long ago set up systems to centralize people’s power… or rather, to give people the ILLUSION that their power was not their own.

That is belonged to a Guy in the Sky.

(I mean no disrespect.)

…. It was not fun—at ALL— to come to the realization that the worldview I grew up with was sitting and growing inside of systems of oppression that I now could not unsee.

And yet…. On the other side of the fears that stopped me from looking, poking, asking and exploring…. Was a POWER that I thought only belonged to MEN IN SCRIPTURE. (Because yes, Constantine erased women and their words and stories almost completely from scripture. Read anything by to understand this.)

My loves: the world is not going to change itself. And women staying quiet and small in fear is JUST AS DESTRUCTIVE as men tearing down people’s freedoms.

So, I will help you cross the bridges of your fear — the sacred inner THRESHOLDS — to find your true voice, your true self, your TRUE power.

Because it has belonged to you, and been your birthright - all along.

The earth and her wisdom keepers will help you reclaim it completely (yes, you can!) - and Hallie (my biz partner with ) and I will guide you through the unexplored, oppressed lands within your psyche, one shamanic (meditative) journey at a time.

When I was pregnant with my fourth baby (and it was such a stretch for us to have one more, but we chose to) — I remember being terrified of postpartum depression.

Even though I have tools, and I’ve done so much healing, I just know how deep depression can go.

So I was hustling, trying to create a nest egg of money so I could pay for a postpartum doula, and house cleaning, Hello Fresh, and all the other nice things we want when we’re postpartum.

But as I tuned into Spirit, I really felt this shift: “manifest community.”

I was manifesting money, and the Universe said: manifest community.

To me it sounded boring, and money sounded so shiny. But I made the shift.

This eventually led me to , and I dove all the way in to this form of wealth: community.

Community is true wealth.

The longest longitudinal study that exists on earth, by Harvard, on happiness tells us that the #1 predictor of our happiness is the QUALITY of our relationships.

People will always ‘people’. There will be fallout, misunderstandings, and hurt feelings.

And also: there are lifetime friends out there to be found. There are REAL, honest and fruitful relationships you can have, and it can truly make you feel like your life is so wealthy and abundant.

My biggest healing part of and other communities I’ve become a part of over the years is: being seen as I truly am. And having practice and being who I really am on the inside.

The journey of a lifetime is the journey back to your Self. The one that was in there before all of the programming, insecurities, self-protecting mechanisms, and the false projections of others onto your identity.
