The Great Spiritual Drama of Our Time – Light in the Darkness

This is the theme of an October 17-18 workshop offering.

Polarization and increasing difficulty in finding common ground. Alienation and mistrust. Fear and isolation. Heightened nationalism. Mis- and outright disinformation. People floating off
into entirely separate, personal realities. How do we understand, and effectively respond to what can seem to be a welter of bewildering and depressing events on the worldwide stage?
This will be our focus.

The workshop will take place beginning at 7:30pm on Friday evening, October 17, in Rose Hall at Camphill Village Kimberton Hills and continue Saturday 9am – 12:30 in the Myrin Library, and
reassemble in Rose Hall from 2pm – 4pm, in the afternoon. There will be three presentations and participative eurythmy on the evening and following morning, and group response in small
groups and plenum in the afternoon. Eugene Schwartz’s presentation, “Through a Glass Darkly”, will address the theme of artificial intelligence, its roots, meaning and challenges.

Andrew Dill will address the theme of hopeful signs in the realm of science. Michael Babitch will focus on one particular area of scientific research, the so-called Telepathy Tapes
and their meaning and import. Felicity Jeans will guide us in eurythmy on the workshop theme.

Free will donations will be accepted at the door. While not required, pre-registration is very helpful for planning purposes. Participation in the whole workshop is important but not required. To pre-register and with any questions, please email Michael Babitch at michael@camphillkimberton.org.

Anthroposophic insights on ADHD

October 30 @ 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm EDT

A lot of modern medicine makes diagnoses through checklists. That can help give a name to something, but doesn’t necessarily help you know why it is happening or what can be done to help it. A “constitutional” approach—looking at individual patterns of attention, prioritization, engagement and movement—provide very helpful views. It’s more complex than a checklist, but that is because each child is a little bit different. We have to take to the time to look carefully.

Our presenter, Adam Blanning, MD, practices anthroposophic family medicine in Denver, CO. He is a co-leader of the medical section at the Goetheanum and teaches widely about child development.

Please join us for the live session! If you cannot attend the live webinar and would like to receive the session recording, please register below!

All registrants will receive a recording link and any supporting materials offered during the presentation.
