Grandparents, safe sleep guidelines have evolved since your kids were babies. It’s important that all caregivers follow baby’s safe sleep plan to reduce the risk of sleep-related accidents. Make sure the crib is free from pillows, blankets, and toys, and that baby is always placed to sleep on their back.

Becoming a Registered Nurse was never about the scrubs, the status, the pay, or glory. For me it is years of serving people as a volunteer with the fire service on all emergency calls, about making a difference in the lives of others, about the legacy of my Mother, but it is what I was born to do! This was such a nice gesture from a patient to nominate me for the Daisy Award. To receive this in my 16th year anniversary at St. Tammany Health Systems reminds me of what my purpose is as a nurse. Thank you to this sweet patient and to Kerry Milton of our hospital! I’m truly blessed for this.
