Update: The spending Bill passed. There is now a 365 days (1 year) before the new language becomes law in Nov 2026.
There will be work behind the scenes to make amendments and/or remove this before it can becomes law next Nov 2026 and effect your ability to access current H**p products.

The future of h**p products depends on your action, right now. Last night, the Senate held a preliminary vote on a minibus that would reopen the federal government which includes funding for the USDA Bill. However, the spending package bill includes language that would redefine the legality of h**p, an action that could eventually wipe out most of the industry if passed.

Details of the Proposed Language:
⚠️Redefinition of H**p: The proposed language would change the federal definition of h**p from being based solely on the concentration of delta-9 THC to the total THC concentration (including delta-9 THC, THCA, and other isomers). This would make many currently legal products illegal.
⚠️"Quantifiable Amounts": The provisions aim to prohibit any product containing a "quantifiable amount" of THC or similar psychoactive cannabinoids, which could impact even non-intoxicating CBD products that contain trace amounts of THC. What is being defined as "Quantifiable " amounts is the big issue. I hear its being capped at 0.4mg THC (mg, not %) per WHOLE container of product, which is far below 0.3% THC threshold (0.3% = 3mg per gram) and will eliminate almost every product on the market !⚠️
⚠️Targeting Synthetics: GOOD thing...The language specifically targets products containing synthetic or manufactured cannabinoids (like most Delta-8 THC products), effectively banning them at the federal level.
Exclusions: It carves out exceptions for industrial h**p uses such as fiber, grain, and seed, but excludes consumable cannabinoid products intended for human or animal use.
An amendment has been proposed to strike this h**p-killing language from any final bill by Senator Rand Paul. We need your help to call on your representatives in Washington DC and help save the h**p industry! Tell them to VOTE YES SUPPORTING Senator Rand Paul’s Amendment to strike H**p killing language from the minibus and final bill.
Here's what you can do:
1) Send an email to your Senator.
2) Call your Senator and ask them to support Senator Rand Paul’s amendment to remove h**p-killing language from the proposed minibus.
Call 202.224.3121 TODAY and ask for your Senators’ offices. If you don’t know who your Senators are, the operator will tell you and connect you.
Once connected, here’s a message you can leave your Senators office:
"Hello, my name is [Your Name] from [Your City/State]. I’m calling to ask Senator [Name] to support Senator Rand Paul’s amendment to strike h**p banning language from the proposed minibus. H**p supports farmers, jobs, and small businesses in our state and across the country. Millions more rely on access daily including Veterans. Thank you for representing our interests and for your leadership on this issue."
3) Share the message. We need as many people as possible contacting their Senators.
It only takes a few seconds, but your voice matters. This battle is is bigger than just business; it’s about protecting a legal, responsible h**p industry that provides safe and accessible options for adults nationwide who truly rely on these products.
