The Garden 🌱
Most of us have been taught to eat like accountants.
Measure. Count. Track.
Was that “good”? Was that “bad”?
Did I eat too much? Not enough?
But the body doesn’t operate like a spreadsheet.
It operates more like a garden.
A gardener doesn’t walk outside and say:
“I already watered on Tuesday, so I shouldn’t do it again today.”
They notice.
Is the soil dry?
Has there been a lot of sun?
Is this a season of growth… or rest?
Some days a plant needs more water.
Some days it needs nutrients.
Some days it needs to be left alone.
In the same way, instead of asking:
“Should I eat?”
Try asking:
What kind of energy does my body need right now?
And how much?
We don’t keep gardens alive by counting inputs.
We keep them alive by paying attention.
