It is highly unfortunate that I have to make this post, but from this point on, I will not be providing my services to male clients unless you are a current regular with a standing routine.
Firstly, to my current male clients, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for upholding yourselves as gentlemen; your respect for me and my work and the way you honor your service and value therapeutic massage means so much to me, and I value you as clients more than you know and look forward to continuing to provide the body work and care you so need and deserve ❤️ This decision by no means applies to you or your appointments, and will not in any way affect how you are treated or thought of. You have proven time and time again to be wonderful clients and human beings as a whole, and for that, I'm so grateful ☺️
Now, back to business. In the massage industry, sexual harassment has always been a heavy factor in our work. I began my journey with the intention and passion to provide therapeutic touch to a world that is in desperate need of it, to help heal and empower people to heal themselves. My love for my work is driven by passion, and instances of sexual harassment can have such a negative impact and leaves me sometimes with a sense of hatred and disgust, and that is not the energy I will be bringing into my studio, my world, and my conscience. Unfortunately, this is an instance where "Some can ruin it for all", as in light of this, I will not be attending to male clients beyond my current regulars.
If you have a CURRENT/NON-EXPIRED gift certificate, I will definitely honor that, but I have reached out to everyone in this announcement to notify you to not purchase gift certificates for any men you may know, as I will no longer be attending to them and will be unable to honor them, but if they were purchased before this date, I will honor them and they will be treated with the utmost respect and care.
But this is my first and final warning: If I am treated in any fashion of disrespect, whether it be sexual comments or inappropriate compliments/requests/actions while you are at MY STUDIO, your information will be passed directly to the Piedmont Police Department, where I will be filing charges against you to the fullest extent of the law, your picture will be put on display in a public format where you will be shamed and ridiculed and everyone you know will be made very aware of your actions, and you will be made to feel as small as you try to make your massage therapists feel when you bring such utter disrespect to your appointment and into such a sacred place of healing. I NEVER make posts like this, and I am all about peace and love, but I will PROTECT my peace and love for what I do for holding the right people accountable and being one step in the direction of ending the sexual harassment massage therapists are forced to face by the disgusting, slimy worms of our population. While I believe EVERYONE needs therapeutic work and would wish it for the world, I cannot put myself at risk to provide that if certain people don't value me as much as I value them. It's unfortunate in this day and age that so many massage therapists are taking this route, but while some try to remain in the dark days of believing human beings are here for their amusement and gratification, I will be providing my work to only those I can ensure respect and safety from.
But I am fine, I am safe, rest assured no hatm has come to me physically whatsoever, but I am putting a stop to any potential of reoccurrence or more severe scenarios. The right people have been held accountable, my resolve and love for my work is undeterred and remains strong and flourishing ❤️❤️❤️. I will not give anyone power over this journey I have chosen for myself. I look forward to a beautiful future at A Calm Mind Massage and providing the people I love and care for the most with such well deserved care and nurturing.
