Good morning, Dear Ones! βοΈ
As you all know, I am completely booked for the month of November. In December, A Calm Mind Massage will be closed for the holidays between December 21st-January 5th for some much needed rest time, quality time with my family, improvements within the studio, and to bring in the new year with a refilled glass and fresh mind.
With that being said, as I am mapping out December for my regulars to accommodate their massage routines, it has come to my attention there will be little to no availability left for the months of December and January after my regulars' appointments are scheduled. Of course, I will be sure to post any remaining availability for each month a couple weeks before the start of the month, as always. My regulars have made me a priority in their life any daily routines, it is my honor to return the favor to them β€οΈ.
As my clientele has increased, the standards that uphold my business and the smooth flow of things have challenged me to be extremely picky on who qualifies as a "regular" at A Calm Mind Massage.
A "regular client" is someone who sees me on a consistent basis, whether it be once a month, once a week, once every 2 weeks, etc as part of their wellness routine. They consistently reschedule their appointments after each service and honor their appointments, unless faced with an absolute emergency or unavoidable predicament, in which they notify me in a timely manner (1-2 weeks in advance)unless the emergency makes that impossible, and even that is a rarity.
The perks of being an established regular is that you get first choice of available appointments before they are released to the public, and I usually do my best to set aside a session that aligns with your usual routine for your convenience. By "setting an appointment aside", I am not allowing other clients to book that session until I have had the opportunity to offer it to that regular. That means for every regular client I accommodate to, on average I am refusing 7-8 non-regular clients who potentially want that appointment. I put the livelihood of my business at risk because these regular clients have shown time and time again that they are worth that investment and trust. That is the privilege allotted to my regulars as reward for loyalty, consistency, and valuing myself and my business enough to respect the time they request from me, and to me, that is priceless and I will ALWAYS match that energy and commitment π₯°.
What disqualifies a client as a "Regular":
-πΏ Cancellation of more than 30% of the appointments you schedule for yourself πΏ
Emergencies happen, I completely understand. Sometimes we have to skip a month. This percentage is in consideration of that. But if you are seeing me per your request on a monthly basis for example, you should not be cancelling more than 3-4 appointments per year. If you are, this is a sign your schedule/priorities are too much to balance in massage on a routine basis. And that's perfectly fine, but I put 100% into my accomodations to my regulars. To uphold the standard of 70% in return is more than fair. To avoid this, please practice being very intentional when scheduling your appointments. Check your calendar before your session and discuss any conflicts with availabilities offered to you, or be transparent and say you won't be able to make them work. If you are not going to be able to make it anyways, there is no value in holding an appointment that someone else could enjoy. Or if you see you have already made the commitment of a massage appointment, don't schedule other obligations on top of it. These are all small steps you can take to ensure you retain the perks of being a regular.
I love and I am grateful beyond words for ALL my clients, whether regulars or not. Whether you see me regularly, reach out to me every couple of months when you see an availability posted, or if I see you just a handful of times a year when it fits your schedule, you are all AMAZING and I will always do my best to offer what availability I have for the privilege of getting to see you. There is NOTHING wrong with not having a set routine. This post is to enunciate the standards in which I operate my business and to ensure that I have a fair, symbiotic relationship with all of my clients and my energy is being poured where it is reciprocated. That is what allows me to be the best therapist I can be and to provide services worthy of your praise each and every time you see me. And that is a standard I will NEVER budge on β€οΈ.
Please stay tuned for December availability! As mentioned, availability will be extremely limited, more so than ever before! Looking forward to bringing in the holiday season with the BEST clientele in the WORLD π π π π!!!
Be well πΏ,
Eden
