Jamie Surya Yoga Studio In September of 2012, Jamie Surya set out to create a yoga studio where everyone who walked in felt like family coming home. Christophers Inn, and many more!

Fearlessly, she poured her heart and soul into creating her dream and without any expectations, she waited to see who would show up to class.

The Jamie Surya Yoga Studio offers a variety of classes each day to fit everybody's needs. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned practitioner, there is a chance for development here. Our studio has teachers trained to support people with Traumatic Brain Injury, and offer Trauma Sensitive Yoga, including depression, anxiety, eating disorders and substance abuse. Teaching because of their love for the practice, your teachers offer a supportive and encouraging environment where you never feel judged or forced to be anything but yourself. The Jamie Surya Yoga Studio has a well-known Yoga Teacher Training program which certifies students each year to become Yoga teachers. Each year we raise thousands of dollars for organizations like the Center for Safety and Change, the Babies Heart Fund, Hi-Tor Animal Shelter, Love Your Brain, St.

Join Theresa for a 4-week journey of gentle movement and meditation designed to help you slow down and reconnect. Each class will include accessible, gentle movement to soften tension, followed by guided meditation that encourages grounding and ease.

“I look forward to this strength and balance class every week. Good balance is crucial as I enter my 80th year. I practice standing on one leg often at home the way I learned in class. I do not want to fall, and improved strength and balance are the best preventative. My time has steadily increased, and so has my confidence.”

💛 We are now offering Strength & Balance TWICE A WEEK! This class has quickly become a studio favorite, as students are feeling a difference in their bodies and minds! 💛

Jamie created this class to target the key areas that help us move safely: the core, hips, legs, arms, and shoulders. There is also a focus on balance and proprioception–our body’s ability to sense where it is in space. As we age, our risk of falling increases, and falls are one of the leading causes of injury. At the same time, the risk of osteoporosis also rises, making fractures more likely. Building and maintaining strength through intentional movement is one of the most effective ways to help keep our bones and body strong and healthy. ​ Through targeted and purposeful movement, this class works to improve stability, coordination, and confidence while supporting bone health and injury prevention. This is a must-take class for anyone who wants to feel stronger, steadier, and more supported in their daily life. You will feel the difference in your body, your balance, and the way you move both on and off the mat!
