Investing in nurses can be a win for patients and hospitals. The American Nurses Enterprise just released new findings from the INVEST Study. This study was a national, mixed-method analysis exploring how hospitals’ investments in nursing relate to financial performance.

The research highlights a key shift: nurses shouldn’t be viewed only as a labor cost, but as mission-critical human capital that supports high-quality care and long-term organizational strength. The study surveyed nurse executives across 45 hospitals nationwide, representing more than 80,000 nurses.
