I am happy to announce the opening of my new private office.

As an essential service provider in this COVID-19 pandemic, I have been helping those in need to reduce pain and increase function. My office is currently open and taking appointments.

To deliver a healthy treatment experience for my patients I am:

• Spreading out my patient appointments
• Requesting that patients do not enter the office earlier than 15 minutes before their scheduled appointment
• Sanitizing surfaces in contact with any person after each patient leaves
• Dedicating my entire office space to only one patient at a time, unless that patient is accompanied by another person.
• Alternating my patients between two treatment rooms
• Screening each patient, according to guidelines from the CDC website
• Requiring correct use of a mask (I am also using a face shield)
• Requiring each patient to wash their hands with soap and water or the use of hand sanitizer per CDC guidelines.

Patients who have suppressed immune systems or simply do not want to come into the clinic, have already greatly benefited from my telehealth visits.
By the means of telehealth, I am able understand your problem by assessing your:
• History
• Posture
• Movement
• Range of motion
• Balance
• Function
This allows me to:
• Instruct you with techniques to self-treat
• Instruct and monitor exercises
• Advise on posture and proper body mechanics
Access to a computer, smartphone or tablet and internet is required for telehealth appointments.

Call for an office or telehealth appointment 410-665-3223.

There are better, safer ways to treat chronic pain than the use of opioids. CDC advocates physical therapy as an alternative treatment method along with other non-drug/non-opioid therapies Dr. Susan Schehr, now with Schehr Center for Wellness, has been successfully working with patients in chronic pain for over 30 years. Understanding that the location of pain you feel is not always the origin of the pain, she helps identify and then treats pain from the cause.

Wednesday, March 16, 2016CDC: Physical Therapy, Other Non-Drug, Non-Opioid Approaches Should be First-Line Treatment for Chronic Pain In its final version of guidelines for prescribing opioids for chronic pain, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) minces no words about the importa...
