High cholesterol is one of the biggest risk factors for stroke. Ask your doctor if you need a cholesterol screening! 🧠

Where did that S come from anyway? We’ll probably never know. But we can easily know our cholesterol numbers. It just takes a simple blood test. Check in with your doctor about your numbers.

Caitlin, JP, and Destiny administered the clot busting medication, TNK, to a stroke patient in record time! The patient and their family have expressed their gratitude to our emergency department team.

Every second mattered for our patient and our staff rose to the challenge. Thank you to our emergency department team for your excellence in stroke care. 🧠

Congratulations to Holly Harris, NP on being honored as our November Stroke Champion. Holly identified the early signs of a patient having a hemorrhagic stroke, allowing them to receive emergent care. 🏆

Today at World Stroke Awareness Day, we heard testimony in faith, and in the services available at PMC. We helped Gary achieve a good outcome. It was our pleasure to meet you today Gary!! Your resilience is an inspiration.

We had Stroke Smart story time for these sweet kids at Kimper Elementary. The older kids learned hands only CPR! Thank you Kimper Elementary School for allowing us to spend the day teaching and interacting with these wonderful kids. 🧠🫀

This week we added a new member to our team. We would like to welcome Sarah, RN to our stroke team. She comes to us with a wealth of experience in emergency nursing. Sarah prioritizes her faith, family, and her community, and we are glad to have her on our PMC team!
