One of the lesser-discussed benefits of hospice care is its impact on healthcare costs. Hospice is 100% covered under the Medicare benefit, which relieves the patient and caregiver of the stress of financial burden during end of life.

Hospice care reduces the need for costly procedures, emergency room visits, and extended hospital stays. By managing symptoms and providing comfort-based care at home or in facilities, hospice services help avoid many of the costs associated with frequent hospitalizations.

Studies have consistently shown that hospice patients incur significantly lower healthcare costs than those receiving aggressive treatments in hospitals during their final days. Our usual venue is still under renovation, and despite our best efforts to secure alternative locations, none could meet the requirements for this special event.
