Friends and neighbors: We, like everyone else, are monitoring the upcoming winter weather potential. We could rain, ice, snow, or all of the above. Don’t get caught without your meds.
1. Check your maintenance medications NOW! If you will be out on Saturday, Sunday, or Monday please fill them today or Friday.
2. Controlled substances can only be filled early in the event or doctor approval or imminent emergency weather situation. If you have controls coming due on Sunday we will fill Saturday morning. If you have controls due on Monday and the weather is going to be impassable, call your doctor TODAY OR FRIDAY and allow them and us to make necessary arrangements.
3. Depending in the timing and severity on Saturday…We plan to be here at 8:30am. If the sleet/freezing rain/snow begins around 10, please do not wait util 12:00 to come. Your safety, and the safety of our staff is of the utmost importance. Should the weather conditions start to deteriorate we will be closing and sending our staff home in a safe manner. Come as early as possible to avoid any dangerous travel situations.
4. In the event of ice and or snow… rule of thumb… if you are having trouble getting to the pharmacy then it’s likely the same for the staff. Call before you come to make sure we are here.
5. Hours are subject to change based on the severity of the winter storm. We are at the mercy of Mother Nature as predictions and weather models are all over the place right now.
6. We will do our very best to ensure that our patients are taken care of, but we need you guys to work with us and exercise understanding and patience during this potential storm.
7. If winter weather does hit our area and we are able to open, we will not be able to deliver for safety reasons.
8. Everyone please excercise caution, stay safe, stay warm, and be smart if we experience ice, freezing rain, snow, etc. Please do not get out unless it is an emergency.
