Dr. Javier Oesterheld and his brother, Chris, have vastly different professions - but their worlds collided, all in the name of helping healthcare workers at Atrium Health and Levine Children's.

Many of you know Dr. O, the leader of our pediatric cancer and blood disorders program. His brother, Chris, is the vice president of a herbal extracts manufacturing company. With the PPE shortage that hospitals are facing throughout the country, his company pivoted and started making masks, coveralls and N95 respirators to help healthcare workers across the country. We are proud to be a recipient of this PPE and kind gesture!

Thank you to these brothers for all they do to keep our patients and teammates safe.
