“The people who’ve been through the hardest things are often the ones who hide it the best.”

For many Veterans, opening up about mental health can be one of the hardest parts of the transition home.

The stigma is being broken and every conversation helps make that progress possible.

A 100% rating doesn’t always tell the whole story.

For many Veterans, daily life may demand help or supervision that isn’t captured in standard VA schedules. Special Monthly Compensation (SMC) exists to fill that gap — extra pay for extra challenges, from housebound situations to severe TBI care, or the loss of use of a limb or organ.

In our latest blog, we share how Veterans and caregivers can document these realities, and how Veterans Guardian helps ensure claims reflect the life behind the rating.

Learn how Special Monthly Compensation (SMC) can provide tax-free additional pay when standard VA ratings miss real daily care or supervision needs, and how to document and claim it.

Our Story

We are a pre-filing consulting firm helping position veterans to achieve the disability rating they are entitled to for their honorable service when they file their claim for disability compensation. As a team of fellow veterans, we understand and truly appreciate the sacrifices you have made in your service.

We also understand that military service can have significant and lasting impacts on your physical and mental health. Often, the veterans claims process can seem confusing, bureaucratic, and time consuming. No veteran should feel lost or discouraged when they are applying for the benefits they are medically and ethically entitled to.

Let our team be your partner to identify possible service connected conditions, investigate medical and lay-evidence, develop a claim strategy and provide the information and education you need to support your claim - because having the physical or mental conditions is only half the battle.
