Join Kandi Mullen for a special meditation devoted to the four lower energy centers — Root, Sacral, Solar Plexus, and Heart — the energetic foundation of your entire being. When these centers are out of balance, you feel it in your body, your emotions, your sense of safety, and your ability to love. When they're aligned? Everything shifts.

Kandi will also guide you through hands-on self-Reiki while holding space for each energy center — you'll learn exactly where to place your hands and how to let the healing flow through you.

In a world that needs more light, we’re coming together tomorrow to offer exactly that.🕯️ Join us for a special Healing Circle at Blissful Beginnings, 7:30-8:30PM.

Hi everyone! We have a heartfelt update regarding our schedule for Thursday, January 8th.

Instead of our regular Immerse, Move and Meditate meditation, we will shift our energy and gather together for a dedicated Healing Circle led by Kandi Mullen. 🕊️

This will be a sacred space to hold collective intention for global healing, as well as a soft place to land for anyone in our community who is currently walking through a difficult time and could use some extra support and light.

Please take a minute to read the details about a bill in the NJ Assembly requiring a license to practice Reiki professionally. Details will help you to better understand the bill and what actions you can take to oppose it. Immediate action could thwart the attempt from moving forward.

New Jersey has a bill in the Assembly that's a first step toward licensing Reiki practice, a disturbing trend we've seen in many states.

Let's nip this in the bud. Read details and what simple actions you can take to educate your elected officials why licensing Reiki is a bad idea, and how many of their constituents oppose it. https://reikiinmedicine.org/communicating-reiki/protect-new-jersey-reiki-now/

Be a friend, tell a friend.

Remember, your elected officials work for you and care what you think. Just be sure to be respectful of their time and express your views in a way that makes sense from their perspective, talking about how much it helps you rather than going into "Reiki energy," which risks your credibility (from their perspective).

Last year, a robust response from the diverse Massachusetts Reiki community halted (at least for now) that state's 5th attempt at licensing for Reiki and other non-invasive holistic practices. The Attorney General who spearheaded the effort is now the governor.

Michelle Johnson was suffering from many physical conditions which was affecting her quality of life. She completed her Reiki master training and taught her husband, Lee, who was struggling with emotional stress and anxiety from grief. Reiki practice changed their lives and they are now helping others including raising funds for a children's hospice and animal shelter.

Willing to do anything to ease her chronic pain, Michelle Johnson tried a Reiki session and was amazed when her symptoms eased.

A paramedic fired for honoring the patient's choice of treatment?

The patient refused conventional treatment, but consented to a Reiki treatment when offered by the paramedic based on her beliefs in holistic medicine. The paramedic was terminated by the healthcare system claiming his "clinical judgement was questionable."

From a patient standpoint, if treatment was refused twice, ethically, I would expect caregivers to be respectful of that decision and comply.

This is a good read for those interested in sharing Reiki with animals. A couple of points that stand out that I don't have the same understanding as Kathleen Prasad; in sharing Reiki with others that it involves therapy touch when working with people and meditation in working with animals.

In my 10 years of practice, I have shared Reiki with others without touch, by placing my hands above the individual. The recipient of the session typically has a response to the session just as those that have had a session with light touch. In working with animals, if possible and safe, I also place my hands directly on the animal or I will offer distant Reiki, a practice that does not require touch or the animal to be present for the session. I generally do not meditate when offering Reiki as to be present and aware of the person or animal that I am working with.

Practicing Reiki isn't just for adults. Kids are under a tremendous amount of pressure and parents are turning to this simple practice to help them manage their stress at an early age.

New York teenagers are overscheduled and overstimulated, leading parents to try out reiki as a possible solution to their offspring’s stress.
