If your tummy starts to growl during your massage, don't be embarrassed - it's actually a compliment to your therapist!

When the body is in a state of "rest and digest," that comes from relaxation, your heart rate and blood pressure lower. Your body shifts from a state of fight or flight to taking care of basic functions, like making saliva, tears and even kicks digestion into gear. This growl is technically called Borborygmus and its one indicator that your body has put the stress aside.

So during your next appointment, don't be surprised if you find your stomach gurgling more than normal while you enter a state of relaxation!
