Celebrating World Kindness Day 2025
In life there are times when we are blessed to encounter exceptional human beings who go above and beyond.
Dr. Ashley Reaves is one such person. A recent return to the mountain after veterinarian school, brought her back to Aspen Ridge Pet Clinic located right across the street from us at Pinetop Senior Living. In fact several of our long term residents have used the compassionate care and services from Aspen Ridge over the years.
Last week, one of our beloved residents had to unexpectedly put their cat down. What began as a simple act of kindness to Kim Cassel in her time of loss, to reach out in personal time to see if she was doing ok and if she needed anything, led to a quick and ensuring friendship based on the love of caring for the critters we call friends.
See, all of you who know Kim here on the mountain will know well how much she gives of her time to those in need in our community. But no love surpasses her kindness to the feline critters at Pinetop Senior Living and how she takes care of them each and every day without fail. To have found that she had encountered such devotion to animals, and compassion to the world around her, in Ashley during her time of grief is truly exceptional and we wanted to take the time to highlight it today on World Kindness Day.
We remember and continue to pray for and support Kim during her loss of dear Jake πππ
