🌬️ Cemetery Notice – Wind Advisory Reminder

With the strong winds we’ve experienced over the past few days, flowers, flags, and decorative accessories have been blowing throughout the cemetery grounds.

To help us maintain a safe, respectful, and well-kept environment for all families, we kindly ask that loose items be secured or temporarily removed during periods of high wind. This helps prevent damage to monuments, neighboring spaces, and cemetery equipment.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to keep the cemetery beautiful and dignified for everyone. If you have any questions or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Thank you for helping us care for these sacred grounds.

Oak Ridge Memorial Park was honored to serve the Sanderson family today as they laid their loved one to rest.

Mr. Roy Sanderson lived a life defined by service, dedication, and faithfulness to his community. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, worked faithfully for Carolina Telephone and Telegraph for 42 years, and devoted an incredible 53 years as Treasurer of the Hargetts Crossroads Fire Department. His commitment to others spanned decades and touched countless lives.

Today’s service was a beautiful reflection of a life well lived—honoring a man who gave selflessly, served humbly, and left a lasting legacy of integrity and love.

Please join us in keeping the Sanderson family, the Hargetts Crossroads Fire Department, and all who loved Mr. Roy in your thoughts and prayers during this time.

Merry Christmas - Oak Ridge Memorial Park 🎄

As we celebrate the birth of our Savior and the true meaning of Christmas, we are reminded of God’s gift of love, hope, and eternal promise. This season can be filled with joy, but it can also be tender for those who carry the weight of loss. Here at Oak Ridge Memorial Park, we pause to remember the lives that shaped our families, our community, and our hearts.

May the peace of Christ surround you today, bringing comfort where there is grief, strength where there is weariness, and light where there is sorrow. We pray that the memories you cherish feel close, and that the hope of Christmas fills your heart with reassurance and peace.

From our Oak Ridge Memorial Park family to yours, thank you for allowing us to serve and walk alongside you through every season. May your Christmas be blessed with love, reflection, and the promise that those we love are never truly gone.

✨ “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, which is Christ the Lord.” – Luke 2:11 ✨

As Christmas draws near, the soft glow of luminaries throughout our cemetery serves as a beautiful reminder that love and memories never fade. Each light represents a life remembered, a story honored, and a family held close in our hearts during this sacred season. ✨🕯️

We would like to extend our heartfelt thank you to Whosoever Will Church for donating their time, supplies, and servant hearts to help make this possible. Your kindness and willingness to serve brought warmth and peace to these grounds, and it truly shows the meaning of Christmas in action.

Because of you, our cemetery shines a little brighter—offering comfort, hope, and a gentle reminder that even in moments of remembrance, there is light. We are deeply grateful for your support and the love you’ve shown our community.

May these luminaries continue to glow as symbols of faith, compassion, and the everlasting light of Christ this Christmas season. 🎄🤍

Today at Oak Ridge Memorial Park, we witnessed something truly special. What took place was more than a ceremony—it was a heartfelt act of remembrance, respect, and unity.

With nearly 50 volunteers in attendance, our cemetery was filled with families, Scouts, children, and community members who came together with one shared purpose: to honor the men and women who served our country and ensure their sacrifices are never forgotten. Each wreath placed carried a message of gratitude, love, and remembrance. Each bow represented a promise that these heroes will always be remembered—not just today, but every day.

Seeing generations side by side—young hands learning the meaning of service and older hands passing down stories of sacrifice—was a powerful reminder of why this ceremony matters. This is how legacies are preserved. This is how history is honored. This is how we teach the next generation the true cost of freedom.

We extend our deepest appreciation to the Pink Hill community and everyone who gave their time, energy, and hearts this morning. Your presence made a lasting impact, and your willingness to serve reflects the very values our veterans fought to protect.

At Oak Ridge Memorial Park, we are honored to be a place where remembrance lives on, where stories are told, and where respect is shown year after year. Thank you for helping us ensure that no hero rests without recognition.

Remember. Honor. Teach. 🇺🇸🌲

DID YOU KNOW?

The tag shown in this image is attached to every single wreath by the individual who made the wreath.

It’s a gift for you. It isn’t trash… it’s a year-long promise.

After you place a wreath today and say a hero’s name, keep the tag! It reads:

“Today, I placed a Wreath on the Grave of an American Hero...”

Hang it on your Christmas tree.

Put it on your rearview mirror.

Tuck it in your wallet or on your fridge.

Every time you see it in 2026, you’ll remember the veteran whose headstone you touched… and you’ll keep the mission alive all year long: Remember. Honor. Teach.

One small tag. One huge reminder that gratitude doesn’t end when we leave the cemetery.

Take yours home after you place a wreath on Wreaths Across America Day. Share its presence and meaning with others around you - it’s there for you to take and carry that veteran’s memory forward.

🎄 The Wreaths Have Arrived! 🇺🇸
Today was a beautiful sight here at Oak Ridge Memorial Park as the truck rolled in and delivered this year’s Wreaths Across America shipment. Each box holds a wreath that represents honor, remembrance, and gratitude for the men and women who faithfully served our country.

Their mission says it best:

Remember the fallen.
Honor those who serve.
Teach the next generation the value of freedom.

And as Executive Director Karen Worcester reminds us:
“A person dies twice… the first time when life leaves their body, and the second time when their name is spoken for the last time.”

This Saturday, as we place each wreath, we will proudly say their names out loud.

To every volunteer, donor, and supporter—thank you. You are the heartbeat of this mission, and none of this would be possible without your love and dedication.

We can’t wait to join together this weekend to honor our heroes. ❤️🤍💙

Ceremony begins at 9 AM at the flagpole.

We are only FOUR days away from National Wreaths Across America Day, but it is not too late to make a plan to volunteer at one of our 4,500+ locations across the country!

🍂 Happy Thanksgiving from Oak Ridge Memorial Park 🍂

Today we pause with grateful hearts and reflect on the blessings that surround us.
We are especially thankful for the precious lives entrusted to our care and for the families who allow us to walk beside them during sacred moments of remembrance.

As Psalm 107:1 reminds us:
“Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for His steadfast love endures forever!”

May your day be filled with peace, gratitude, and the hope that love lives on — here and in Heaven.

Happy Thanksgiving! 🦃
