Martha’s journey is a true example of determination and resilience. From day one, her goal was clear, she wanted to return home. While she experienced moments of medical decline and physical fatigue along the way, Martha never quit.
Early in her therapy, she required significant assistance and was unable to ambulate far distances. Through consistent effort, dedication, and a willingness to work through challenges, even on difficult days, Martha made remarkable progress. By the conclusion of her stay, she was ambulating over 200 feet.
While Martha was always quick to thank our therapy team, we reminded her that she was the driving force behind her success. Her hard work, perseverance, and positive attitude truly paid off, and the ultimate reward was achieving her goal of going home. We are honored to have been part of her journey.
