We had an amazing turnout of trick-or-treaters visiting Piqua Manor last night! 🎃👻
Residents were encouraged to dress up if they wanted to, and everyone had candy ready to share.

It’s always wonderful having children visit — and Halloween makes it extra special!
We truly appreciate all the families who brought their kiddos by. Your visits mean the world to us.

Our Heritage Health Care Piqua food drive was an amazing success!
We were overwhelmed by the generosity of everyone who donated — thank you for helping us support those in need.

A special thank you to Piqua Manor and their staff for your partnership and support — we truly couldn’t do this without you.

We delivered all donations to First Place Food Pantry in Troy, where we learned that due to recent shutdowns, food pantries are struggling to meet the growing need.
Our timing was truly divine, and we feel blessed to be able to help. 🧡🙏

💪 Success Story: Louis’s Road to Recovery 👏

"Louis came to us with a significant injury that required substantial care and support. At first, he faced anxiety with mobility, but through determination and consistent effort, he made remarkable progress in his daily activities and overall mobility.
Louis worked hard to achieve important milestones — including getting in and out of a car, managing stairs, and completing his home evaluation with improved confidence and minimal need for adaptive equipment.
He also brought great energy to our therapy groups, often sharing stories from his career in mortuary science and even quizzing the therapists on their knowledge of human anatomy! 🧠💬"

We’re so proud of Louis and the incredible progress he’s made on his journey toward independence! 🌟

💪 Success Story: Deborah’s Journey Home 💛

“When I first arrived, I was extremely weak and needed help with almost everything — from daily activities to just getting around. The therapy team worked with me every step of the way, and through their support (and a lot of hard work!), I regained my strength and confidence.
Now, I’m able to complete all of my daily activities, transfers, and even walk with my front-wheeled walker and climb steps with little assistance. It feels amazing to be going home after so long — strong, independent, and ready for this next chapter!”

🎉 We Love Bingo! 🎲❤️

Our Activities Department had so much fun creating a “We Love Bingo” poster for the community bingo poster contest!

We’re excited to share that our much-loved Butter, who works at both Garbry Ridge and Piqua Manor, won the contest! 🏆👏

Her prize? A Dairy Queen treat run for everyone in Activities who participated! 🍦😋 Way to go, Butter — and great job to the whole team for your creativity and enthusiasm! 🎨🎉

🎉 Full House for Community Bingo at Piqua Manor!

We had another great turnout for our monthly Community Bingo, and we’re so thankful to everyone who joined us! It’s always wonderful to see our residents, families, and Piqua area bingo lovers come together for fun, laughter, and a little friendly competition. 💛

A big shout-out to our amazing teams who make this event possible each month — Dietary for set-up and brunch, Environmental Services for preparing the space, and Activities for calling Bingo and assisting residents. We couldn’t do it without you! 👏

One of our residents was on a lucky streak, winning three games — we’re pretty sure those Walmart gift cards will be spent on snacks! 😄

We also held a fun “We Love Bingo” poster contest, and our attendees didn’t disappoint! 🎨 We may need to make that a regular thing!

🗓️ Mark your calendars: our next Community Bingo will be November 14th at 9:30 AM right here at Piqua Manor. We hope to see you there!

🎃🌮 A Spooktacular October Lunch!

Our Activities Department and residents had a fantastic time enjoying a special October-themed meal prepared by our dietary rock stars! Lunch featured delicious quesadillas, rice, and the perfect sweet treat — dirt pudding! 🍫

Everything was phenomenal — thank you to our amazing dietary team for making everyone smile! 💛👏

🎃 Piqua Manor’s “Boo-tiful” Costume Runway Show! 🎃

Our residents had an absolute blast enjoying a creative runway full of “punny” costumes that brought smiles and laughter to everyone! Costumes included Oh Deer, Holy Cow, Dust Bunny, Deviled Egg, Copy Cat, It’s Raining Men, and Two Pigs in a Blanket.

A special thank-you to the amazing staff who made this fun event possible — it was a frightfully good time for all! 👻🧡
