Join us in celebrating our incredible Galloway Ridge team! 🎉

Our residents have once again gone above and beyond - this year raising an astounding $474,617 through the Employee Appreciation Fund! That’s about $1.00 for every hour worked by each employee.

This milestone is more than a number. It’s a powerful statement of how deeply our residents value the dedication, warmth, and professionalism shown by every employee across our campus. From dining to healthcare to facilities and beyond, each contribution makes Galloway Ridge exceptional.

All aboard—the North Raleigh Model Railroad Club Train Show is returning to Galloway Ridge! 🚂

Residents, their families, and staff are invited to enjoy a delightful afternoon watching trains chug through charming towns, scenic farms, and imaginative landscapes. Some displays even feature scenery built entirely from LEGO sets—fun for kids and adults alike!

We couldn’t resist sharing this special moment from our Oktoberfest Celebration featuring Erica & Jeanne! If you haven’t met these remarkable ladies, here’s a little background…

Jeanne (left) has been a cherished member of the Galloway Ridge community for over 20 years. Erica (right) is one of our longest-tenured team members, starting as a server in our dining room and now serving as Director of Resident Experience – Healthcare, overseeing all dining in the Arbor along with our Arbor Resident Enrichment team. Here’s what Erica had to say about Jeanne and why we loved seeing them together:

“When Jeanne and her husband moved to Galloway Ridge nearly 20 years ago, I was a young server in the Café, serving them breakfast each morning. What began as simple morning conversations quickly evolved into a lasting friendship that has spanned decades.
Over the years, my role at Galloway Ridge has changed — I now work in our Healthcare building — but Jeanne has always been a constant in my life. We check in with each other, share stories when we run into one another, and always make time to catch up.
To me, Jeanne isn’t just a resident — she’s family.
And that’s what makes Galloway Ridge feel like home.”

Moments like this remind us why the relationships within our community are at the heart of everything we do. 💛

- The Color Field Pour 🖼️

This week, Galloway Ridge residents had the opportunity to delve into the artistic legacy of Helen Frankenthaler, whose 1952 work "Mountains and Sea" reshaped the world of modern painting. Inspired by her innovative method of pouring thinned paint onto raw canvas, participants explored the technique for themselves under the thoughtful guidance of Davenne Essif.

The session encouraged experimentation, reflection, and a deeper appreciation for an influential moment in art history. Whether the results were bold, subtle, or purely exploratory, the true value was in the experience: engaging with the materials, learning something new, and enjoying the process without pressure or expectation.🖌️
