Texas Veterans Deserve Better.

Starting January 1, 2026, the VA will slash home care reimbursement rates in rural Texas by 43% - on top of last year’s cut. That’s a 49% cumulative reduction since FY2024. These cuts threaten access to essential services like Home Health Aide, Homemaker, and Nursing for 1 million Veterans in rural and mid-sized communities.

Home care isn’t a luxury - it’s a lifeline. It keeps Veterans safe at home, prevents costly hospitalizations, and honors their wishes. These reductions will force agencies to close and leave Veterans with no options but institutional care.

Our Veterans fought for us. We must fight for them. Urge Congress to press the VA to reverse these cuts and protect rural access to care.

Our Veterans gave so much in service to our country, and now many of them are facing the heartbreaking possibility of losing their caregivers due to VA pay cuts. These caregivers aren’t a luxury — they are a lifeline. They help Veterans manage daily tasks, medical needs, and the invisible wounds that don’t fade when the uniform comes off.

The VA cutting caregiver pay and reducing hours that Veterans desperately depend on is doing real harm. These cuts don’t just affect schedules or finances — they directly impact Veterans’ health, stability, and overall well-being. Fewer hours of care means more stress, more isolation, and more risk for those who already sacrificed so much for us.

Our Veterans should never have to worry about losing the support that keeps them safe, healthy, and able to live with dignity. We owe them better. We owe them care, compassion, and a system that protects them — not one that puts them at risk.

Please stand with our Veterans and their caregivers. Their lives depend on it. 🇺🇸

Last night our Purple Hearts Home Health team had the honor of attending the Liberty Ball as Freedom Sponsors. What an incredible evening hosted by MOM Ministering Our Military, raising funds for care packages and a brand-new Veteran Resource Center in Titus County that will serve more than 18,000 veterans across the surrounding counties.

We are grateful for a night filled with purpose, community, and a shared commitment to serving those who have served. 💜🇺🇸
