Everything the Region 8 ESC offers focuses on helping educators be successful and helping schools save money and leverage resources - driving more money to students in the classroom - where it matters most. Region 8 ESC is governed by:
• A seven-member Board of Directors, elected by local school board members; and
• An Executive Director, appointed by the Board of Directors, with the approval of the Commissioner of Education.

Students from the NTCA Industrial Maintenance Pathway toured Priefert Manufacturing today, gaining firsthand experience inside one of Northeast Texas’s most advanced production facilities.

During the tour, students explored industrial machinery, robotics, production lines, and computer-controlled systems. This eye-opening experience highlighted how technology, precision, and teamwork drive innovation at Priefert.

This week, ESC8 was proud to host the Emergent Bilingual Conference: A Strengths-Based Approach to Teaching and Learning, uniting educators from across the region to explore innovative strategies that foster language development and academic success for all learners.

Participants gained valuable insights from keynote speaker Carlene Thomas and engaged in dynamic sessions focused on meeting students' affective needs while strengthening their linguistic and cognitive skills.

A heartfelt thank-you to the Harts Bluff Elementary dual language kindergarten class for their delightful folkloric performance and to the districts that showcased their students’ creativity in the conference Art Expo.

We also extend our appreciation to TIPS and Taste This Catering for providing a delicious lunch, and to everyone who contributed to making this day of learning, collaboration, and inspiration a tremendous success!
