What is an EMDR Intensive?
An EMDR Intensive is a high-impact, focused therapy option designed for people who want meaningful progress in a more concentrated format.
Here’s what it includes:
✅ Preparation beforehand so we’re clear on goals and you feel supported going in
✅ Extended EMDR sessions (half-day or full-day) for deeper, uninterrupted work
✅ Integration time afterward so your brain and body can settle, process, and absorb the shift
Instead of trying to fit big work into a weekly hour, Intensives give you space, structure, and momentum—with pacing and support the entire way.
Because this format is more concentrated, we start with a screening consult to make sure it’s the right fit.

Therapy doesn’t look the same for everyone.

Some people prefer weekly sessions.

Others benefit from a more focused, extended format for a specific season of life.

That’s why we offer EMDR Intensives, a structured option designed for people who want concentrated work with preparation and support.

Different formats. Same goal: healing.

Phobias aren’t just in the mind, they live in the body.

EMDR works by helping your body release the fear response so your mind can finally make sense of it.

That’s why it’s different, and why so many clients find relief.

NEW at Wellness Warrior Group: What is an EMDR Intensive?

An EMDR Intensive is a supported, focused healing experience for people who want to work through something specific without stretching it out over months.

Your Intensive includes:
✨ Preparation before we begin
✨ Longer EMDR sessions for deeper work
✨ Integration support afterward

This format allows for less start-and-stop and more time to build real momentum, while staying grounded and paced.

Intensives aren’t for everyone, so we begin with a consultation to help you decide what level of support is best for you right now.

Trauma doesn’t only live in our thoughts or memories, it can live in the body, shaping how we relate, respond, and move through the world. Many people feel “stuck” or disconnected without realizing that their nervous system is still carrying adaptations from earlier experiences, even ones they don’t consciously remember.

In this clip, Gabor Maté speaks to how early experiences can influence self-worth, relationships, and patterns later in life.

At Wellness Warrior Group, our work focuses on helping people understand these body-based responses with compassion, and creating space for healing that feels safe and supported.

If you have a hard time saying “no,” it’s easy to assume it’s a boundary problem, or a personality flaw. In reality, chronic people-pleasing is often a nervous system strategy, shaped by early experiences where safety, approval, or connection felt conditional.
In this clip, Gabor Maté speaks to how the body learns to prioritize others in order to stay safe, even when it comes at a personal cost.
At Wellness Warrior Group, we help clients understand these patterns with compassion, and work toward boundaries that feel safe, not forced.
