They also got to try out some specialty wheelchairs made for wheelchair rugby brought by Jon and Matt from the Steelwheelers

Find that it is more than just getting up after a fall but allows someone to get on the floor to play with their children or be able to tend to their garden. At Carlow DPT, we teach the importance of finding the salient and goal directed interventions

The Carlow DPT 1st years have been diving into motivational interviewing (MI) as part of their learning journey in physical therapy!

Motivational interviewing is a collaborative, person-centered communication approach that helps patients explore their goals, build confidence, and make meaningful changes in their health and movement.

Did you know? In physical therapy, motivational interviewing has been shown to improve patient adherence to exercise programs and rehabilitation plans-leading to better functional outcomes and long-term recovery.
