💫 It's Volunteer Appreciation Month! Today, we are celebrating even more Creative Expression volunteers 💫

Our creative expression volunteers share simple, but powerful intentions: to help members find good cheer and connection in Matt's Maker Space.

Through art, they create space for members to slow down, express what’s hard to put into words, and discover how drawing and jewelry making can be grounding ways to move through difficult days—one sketch, one bead, one creation at a time.

💬 Celebrate these incredible volunteers in the comments!

Last call to register! Join us for Caregiver Community Night on Thursday, April 30th, from 6:00 – 7:30 PM at Cancer Bridges!

Are you currently caring for a loved one with cancer? We invite you to join us for a special evening designed just for caregivers.

This welcoming gathering will be hosted by Joni Staaf Stamford, LPC, NCC, ERYT, AADP—an integrative counselor and mindfulness educator—who will help guide the space with intention and care. Enjoy a light meal, connect with others who understand the caregiving experience, and spend time in a supportive environment where you can share, listen, or simply be.

You do not need to be part of a Cancer Bridges support group to attend—this evening is open to anyone currently providing care for a loved one with cancer.

Come as you are. We hope you’ll join us. Register on Cancer Bridges' calendar.

💫 It's Volunteer Appreciation Month! Today, we are celebrating our Creative Arts Volunteers 💫

Our creative arts volunteers shared the impact they hope to have on members in Matt’s Maker Space.

Their intention is simple: create and relax—offering a welcoming space where people can slow down, try something new, and enjoy the process without pressure.
They also encourage members to always write it down, making space for thoughts, stories, and creativity to come out freely, however they show up.

Together, they help foster a space of ease, expression, and connection through creativity.

We officially have a new favorite Pittsburgh celebrity… the Giant Buggy!

From spotting it around the city to seeing it up close, this one-of-a-kind creation has brought so much joy (and a little bit of awe) to our team this week. We even had to give it a Cancer Bridges touch 💙

From one local organization to another, Giant Eagle —this is pure Pittsburgh magic. Thank you for giving our city something so fun, so unexpected, and so uniquely us to rally around this week. Safe to say… we’re obsessed.

Keep rolling—we’ll be cheering you on every mile.
