March is Child Life Month! 💚

Certified Child Life Specialists are clinically trained professionals who help children, teens, and their families navigate life’s most challenging experiences with care, compassion, and understanding.

At Cancer Bridges, our Family & Youth Team does truly incredible work every day. Through individualized, one-on-one support, our Certified Child Life Specialist helps children and families impacted by cancer process emotions, communicate openly, and feel supported along the way. We are so grateful for the heart, expertise, and dedication they bring to our community.

⛳ Spend a day on the course while supporting a meaningful cause at Cancer Bridges’ Annual Golf Classic. Join us Monday, June 1, 2026 for a full day of golf, friendly competition, and community impact. Golfers will enjoy breakfast and lunch, refreshments on the course, contests, prizes, and more.

Registration for our most anticipated programs of the year—Camp Clubhouse Pittsburgh and Camp Clubhouse Greensburg—is open!

Camp Clubhouse welcomes children ages 5–12 who have cancer, have a loved one with cancer, or have experienced the loss of a loved one due to cancer. Camp offers a safe, supportive space where kids with shared experiences can enjoy summer fun through art, games, therapeutic activities, special community visitors, and so much more—all while being kids.

✨ Camp Clubhouse Pittsburgh & Greensburg is provided free of charge to Cancer Bridges members thanks to the generosity of the Jamie Cordial Hall Foundation ✨

Moving Forward: Staying Active in What Matters is on Monday, March 16th at 6PM on Zoom.

Staying active in the activities that matter most to you can play an important role in maintaining strength, independence, and overall well-being.

Join Nathan Sharbaugh, MOT, OTR/L, Director of the UPMC Innovation Center, as he shares insights on how meaningful movement and daily activities can support your physical, mental, and emotional health. Nathan holds an undergraduate degree in Exercise Science, a Master’s in Occupational Therapy, and is currently pursuing his Doctorate in Clinical Science of Occupational Therapy.

Week 2 of our Living Life Post Cancer Treatment program kicks off tonight at UPMC Magee-Womens! 💙

Our team is ready to welcome participants for another meaningful evening of connection, learning, and movement. Exercise Trainer Janette Poppenberg and Cancer Bridges Senior Clinical Manager Colleen Diehl are preparing to lead Session 2 and support individuals who are navigating life after active cancer treatment.

Living Life Post Cancer Treatment is designed to help people rebuild strength, regain confidence, and connect with others who understand the transition that happens when treatment ends.
