🌟 Black History Month Employee Spotlight: Mr. George Hollis
This Black History Month, we are proud to recognize Mr. Hollis for his dedication, leadership, and lasting impact at Primary Care Health Services, Inc.
Mr. Hollis attended Central State University, where he studied Sociology with a minor in Biology. Early in his career, he worked at the Allegheny County Coroner’s Office as the Director of the Histology Lab, playing a vital role in the scientific study of tissues — an essential component in understanding the organization and function of cells and organs. During this time, he worked under the guidance of renowned forensic pathologist Dr. Cyril Wecht, known for his involvement in several high-profile cases, including the JonBenét Ramsey investigation.
A devoted father of two sons, Mr. Hollis takes great pride in his family. His youngest son resides in Erie, while his oldest son, Todd Hollis, serves the community as a Civil Rights Attorney for Allegheny County.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Mr. Hollis was inducted into the Pittsburgh Black Legends Softball Hall of Fame in 2024, recognizing his athletic achievements and lasting contributions to the local community through sports.
For the past 15 years, Mr. Hollis has been an integral part of Primary Care Health Services, Inc. As Director of Maintenance, he continues to demonstrate unwavering commitment to patients, the community, and his colleagues. Despite his leadership role, he proudly considers himself a team player, valuing the strong camaraderie he shares with his staff.
Mr. Hollis looks forward to seeing PCHS continue to grow and expand services to reach even more individuals in need — a vision that reflects his enduring dedication to service and community care.
