This research elective for first year medical students is an eight week summer program hosted in the rural setting at the University of Pittsburgh Bradford Campus. A research topic derived and directed by the University of Pittsburgh Medical School Faculty and pertinent to the health and health care of Pennsylvania’s rural population will be studied here with the aid of staff at the Center for Rural Health Practice and the university community in Bradford.Make a difference in the experiences, effectiveness, and outcomes of real people, diverse patients, community health and multiple diseases.
