ATTENTION CUSTOMERS: we migrated to a new software system to fill prescriptions a couple months ago. The transition was smoother that we could have hoped for, but there is one thing that we want to make 100% sure that was not missed, and that is PATIENT ALLERGIES. While the data was transferred, we have seen a few instances where the allergies listed in our previous system did not update perfectly in our new system.
Please be patient with us if you are asked if you have any known drug allergies when you are either dropping off or picking up a prescription, even if you have been coming to Spartan forever. We are instituting a policy of just asking everyone for an updated allergy list, and in all honesty, it is a good practice to do anyways.
That being said, if you or a family member have a SEVERE allergy, we are asking that you TEXT your name, birthday, and list of allergies directly to the store's main number ASAP. It is a HIPAA rated, secure text line. Texting will allow us to compare our files and update as time permits throughout the day, and not overwhelm the staff as they are waiting on folks in the store.
That being said, your safety is our #1 concern, and if you are unable to text us your allergies, please call your store.
There is nothing to be concerned with. We are just taking an extra step to ensure that we have updated allergy profiles for everyone, and using Facebook as a way to reach out directly to our beloved customers is one of the most effective ways of getting our patient's attention and assistance.
PLEASE DO NOT POST ANY HEALTH INFORMATION HERE ON FACEBOOK! Just shoot your store's main number a text and we will update your profile and send a text back to confirm that your profile has been updated.
