WINTER STORM UPDATE:
We are anticipating being closed on Sunday January 25th if the snow storm hits. Please plan accordingly and make sure you are prepared with enough prescriptions, food and supplies for 36 hours. Also anticipate issues on Monday depending on the severity of the storm. Deliveries on Monday will not be guaranteed, so plan accordingly! We highly value the safety of our employees and customers alike. If anything changes we will update you on social media.

On another note, we encourage you to embrace the storm and have fun with it if you can! Send us pictures of your snowmen, snow forts and snow ball fights! Share ideas of fun things to do with snow! Maybe we will have a gift card waiting for the best snowman!!!

My twin boys, Erik and Josh, are on the TJ Varsity Soccer Team. Our team is responsible to funds itself. Attention Coin Collectors / old coin holders:
Spartan Pharmacy is strongly considering implementing a discount plan for people using pre-1965 dimes, quarters, and half dollars. I am looking for input to see if folks would be interested in this plan. These coins are 90% silver and we can use the value of the silver in place of the face value of the coin.

To be clear: the purpose of this plan is to enable folks who have a bunch of old pre-1965 dimes, quarters and half dollars to be able to use the value of the silver within the coins at the pharmacy, and essentially make their prescriptions cheaper to afford than they otherwise would be. We are not trying to become currency converters.

We would apply a 98% discount to your total. You read that right, a 98% discount. You would then pay in the old 90% silver coinage.

So: if your total comes to $40.00
We apply discount: $40.00 x 0.02 = $0.80
You then pay us in pre-65 coins: 8 dimes / 2 quarters and 3 dimes / a 1/2 dollar and 3 dimes - however you are able to come up with the 80 cents.

We can not break change without over complicating things. A dime is the smallest amount that we can break down to. so anything $5.00 and under would be a dime. From $5-$10 = 2 dimes, etc.

If our above example was for $43.00 that would = $0.86
The smallest silver denomination is a dime, there are no silver pennies or nickles. We would round up to the closest $0.10 - so we would round that transaction up to $0.90.

Before a gold or silver bug dives super deep into the conversion of the currencies, and the current silver price, there is a small buffer built into the numbers we are considering, but we need to use numbers that our cashiers and staff can work with easily, and hopefully avoid making mistakes. If silver prices go substantially higher we can adjust the conversion, but at 98% discount, we feel that this is an incredible opportunity for folks to be able to reduce their prescription costs with an asset they have already laying around.
