Our Story

Edwards & Assoc. is a private practice offering forensic psychological services in downtown Pittsburgh. They have experience working with juveniles, adults, and families in clinical and forensic contexts. Unique to the Pittsburgh area are Dr. Edwards’ eight years of academic training in Forensic Psychology, which took place in Chicago, Illinois. Clinical Forensic Psychology is a specialized area of expertise, similar to neuropsychology, or other areas of psychological practice. As such, her academic tenure included rigorous law and psychology integrated specialty coursework, as well as applied forensic training in various practice settings. "What is Forensic Psychology?" you may ask. This area of specialty is any place where psychology and the law may intersect with one another. This can include: parental capacity evaluations, child custody evaluations, mitigating circumstance evaluations, competency to stand trial evaluations, criminal responsibility evaluations, sexual offender evaluations, issues related to restraining orders, protection from abuse (PFA) orders, parents involved with divorce, risk assessment evaluations, civil matters, depositions, contesting of wills, or general mental health evaluations for individuals involved with the justice system.
