Even as the calendar turns, the feeling of the holiday season can linger. The quiet mornings, the extra pauses, the moments of togetherness and reflection. This season was never meant to be rushed or wrapped up in a single day.

We hope you found moments to soften, to breathe, to connect—with others and with yourself. May the warmth, kindness, and care that filled these days continue to ripple forward into the weeks ahead.

The season lives on in how we show up for one another. 🤍

When the holiday rush starts to pull you in every direction, gently remind yourself that you can choose boundaries that truly nourish you.

Everyone moves through this season differently, and what brings peace to someone else may not be what your mind or body needs. This edition of Breathe with Maria is a quiet reminder to honor what supports your spirit, taken from the December issue of Sacred Space, here to offer a moment of calm in your day.

The holiday season can feel great, or it can bring stress, expectations, and obligations. When we’re not feeling our best, we’re often flooded with suggestions on how to feel better.

Sometimes, trying to feel better can feel overwhelming in itself. Maybe you’ve tried different things, but they just don't feel like you — and that’s okay. Your brain and nervous system are uniquely yours.

This season, honor what truly works for you. What helps someone else may not resonate the same way. Give yourself permission to be yourself.

Don’t forget to care for yourself this holiday season. If you’re craving warmth, stillness, or renewal, explore Maria’s upcoming offerings:

As we move into winter, let’s carry a little extra kindness. ❄️✨

This holiday season, we’re inviting you to join our “Winter Giving” collection for Village Center for Holistic Therapy + North Hills Community Outreach: simple, essential personal-care items can make a world of difference for someone who really needs them.

Imagine the relief a family feels when they receive something as basic — yet important — as toothpaste, soap, shampoo, or deodorant. These items don’t just clean bodies — they restore dignity and comfort.

If you’re able to give:
✨ Gather a few personal-care items (new, unused, sealed) — toiletries, hygiene essentials, blankets, etc.
✨ Drop them at the Village (Shaler or West End) during December 1-January 31.
✨ Spread the word: friends, coworkers, neighbors — all hands help.

Let’s come together to extend warmth, care, and compassion this winter. When we give what’s within reach, we create hope — one little act of kindness at a time. ❤️
