🇺🇸 Honoring Our Heroes!

Today was a truly special Veterans Day celebration at our community. Our Veteran residents invited a guest to join them for a delicious lunch, sharing stories, laughter, and love across generations. Afterward, we gathered for a touching ceremony to honor their service, courage, and dedication to our country. The celebration ended on a sweet note with cake and ice cream, surrounded by gratitude and pride for all who have served. ❤️🍰🍦

🌟Meet our Pines Star of the Month, Mary! 🌟

Mary is a vibrant and active woman with a large family. She loves spending time outside in the sunshine, playing BINGO, and going to church services. In her relaxation time, she watches church services on television and prays over her family and the rest of the Pines Community Staff.

Mary came to the Pines after suffering a stroke and a fall. She underwent several months of intensive rehabilitation and was back and forth to the hospital with numerous medical complications. Mary has never quit working. She will tell you “I’m an athlete, I’ve always been anthlete.” She has worked with the team from EmpowerMe both on the Home Health and Outpatient fronts and she continues to make great strides in her strength, coordination, endurance, and functional independence.

There are definitely still tough days when Mary doesn’t feel like exercising, but with a little encouragement from her EmpowerMe team and her amazing supportive family she continues to get the job done and meet her goals. When you see Mary, congratulate her on all her hard work and progress, she is truly a Star!!

🎃👻 What an un-BOO-lievable night! Our Trick-or-Treat Party was a huge success, filled with laughter, creativity, and plenty of sweets! 🧁 From frosting-covered fingers during cupcake decorating to the amazing designs in our pumpkin contest, every moment was packed with Halloween magic. 🕸️✨

A big thank-you to everyone who joined the fun, dressed up, and helped make the night so special. Your costumes, creativity, and smiles lit up the room! 🎃
