Our Bowling Club here at Whitetail Springs is really hitting its stride! 🎳

Everyone’s just having a good time—lots of laughs, cheering each other on, and enjoying being together.

We were also able to add a brand new bowling ball set thanks to a generous donation, and it’s already getting a lot of use!

It’s not just about bowling… it’s about connection, smiles, and creating moments that matter. 💛

Staying hydrated is just as important in winter as it is in summer, and it plays an especially important role in memory care. Proper hydration supports cognitive function, energy levels, digestion, and overall wellness, even when residents may not feel as thirsty in cooler weather.

Making hydration part of the daily routine, whether by keeping water within reach, offering herbal teas, or gathering for a warm drink break, encourages both physical health and social connection. Small, consistent habits can make a meaningful difference in helping residents feel their best all season long. 💧

🍀 Happy St. Patrick’s Day from all of us! 🍀

We gathered together for a little St. Patty’s Day celebration filled with music, laughs, and of course… homemade Irish soda bread (made fresh by our Life Enrichment Director, Tina 😉).

We ate some with butter, jelly or plan. We listened to some Irish tunes, enjoyed our treats, and just soaked in the fun together. Simple, festive, and a really nice way to spend the day

🌸 Spring is definitely showing up around here 🌸

During Artful afternoon we spent time making flowers out of construction paper and just having fun with it. Everyone put their own little twist on it, which made it even better.

Simple things like this go a long way—cutting, folding, creating… it keeps hands moving, minds engaged, and gives everyone a chance to relax and enjoy the moment together.

A lot of laughs, a little creativity, and now we have flowers that won’t ever wilt 💐

Every person’s story deserves to be honored and celebrated at every stage of life. In memory care communities, compassionate teams recognize the sense of loss families may experience as Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia progress. A supportive environment rooted in dignity, encouragement, and understanding creates space for each individual to continue thriving.

Sensory dementia therapy plays a powerful role in this approach. By engaging the five senses, thoughtfully designed experiences help stimulate memories, support cognitive function, and inspire meaningful interaction. From soothing sounds and familiar scents to hands on activities and personalized sensory tools, tailored interventions create comfort and connection based on each resident’s unique preferences and history.

☀️ Music Club moved outside this weekend and the smiles say it all! 🎶

With the beautiful weather, we took full advantage of the sunshine and brought our weekend music club outdoors. Residents were shaking maracas, beating drums, and even using some of the fun instruments we created ourselves. Before long we were dancing, singing, and even making up our own songs!

Music is incredibly powerful in memory care. Research shows that rhythm and familiar sounds can spark memories, lift moods, and help people with dementia connect with others. And you could definitely see that magic happening today.

There was laughter, movement, and so much joy all around. Sometimes the best moments come from simple things — sunshine, music, and friends. 💛

🎉 Happy Birthday, Kent! 🎉

Today we celebrate someone who truly means so much to our entire Whitetail Springs family. Kent is far more than our maintenance man — he is someone we can all rely on and depend on every single day. No matter what the situation is, Kent is always the person you know you can go to.

Through snowstorms, long days, repairs big and small, and everything in between, Kent shows up without hesitation. If something needs done, he’s already on it. His dedication, work ethic, and willingness to help anyone who asks never go unnoticed.

But what makes Kent so special isn’t just the work he does — it’s the heart he brings with him every day. He treats our residents like family. He takes the time to sit with them, joke with them, and even give them little “jobs” just so they can spend time together. Those small moments mean the world to them, and they mean the world to us too.

Kent is a proud husband, father, and grandfather, and that caring spirit shines through in the way he looks out for everyone in our community. He keeps us laughing with his jokes, lifts our spirits on the tough days, and brings a sense of warmth and positivity that makes Whitetail Springs feel like home.

Kent, we are so grateful for you. Thank you for your hard work, your kindness, your humor, and for always being someone we can count on.

From all of us — Happy Birthday! We appreciate you more than words can say. 🎂
