Friendsgiving at RP Home: A Celebration of Togetherness

Residents at RP Home gathered in the spirit of gratitude and friendship to celebrate Friendsgiving. The event was marked by a lovingly resident prepared meal, festive table settings that captured the warmth of the season, and a heartfelt grace led by Carol. Laughter, stories, and shared memories filled the room, reminding everyone of the joy found in community and connection.

Bring your creativity, festive spirit, and a little sparkle as we transform our hallways into a winter wonderland. Whether it’s garlands, wreaths, or handmade touches, every decoration brings joy to our community.

A huge shoutout to the incredible tech students from North Allegheny School District who generously volunteered their time and talents to support our residents with their IT needs!

From troubleshooting devices to helping with email setups and app navigation, these bright young minds brought patience, expertise, and a whole lot of heart. Their visit not only solved tech challenges—it sparked meaningful conversations and built intergenerational connections.

We’re so grateful for their kindness and community spirit. The future is bright with leaders like these!

After 14 incredible years of dedication, compassion, and leadership, we bid a fond farewell to Kathie Haffly, our beloved HR Coordinator at RP Home.

Kathie has been the heart of our team—always ready with a listening ear, attention to details, and a kind word. Her commitment to supporting staff, residents and visitors is has shaped RP Home and it's Mission.

As she steps into retirement, we celebrate not just her career, but the countless lives she’s touched along the way. Thank you, Kathie, for everything.

We believe that God has given value to each person’s life that does not diminish with age or changes in mental and physical condition. Each of our residents has varying levels of health, activity, intellect, creativity, sociability, and independence. Our goal is to provide an environment that will help each person we serve achieve his/her maximum level of physical, spiritual, mental, and social well-being. By having levels of care, the RP Home strives to meet the needs of residents in a supportive, rather than restrictive environment. We attempt all of this in the spirit of Christian love and the Golden Rule as taught by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
