2025 was an exciting year at Humotech, full of innovation, recognition, and forward momentum in advancing human mobility. Dr. Josh Caputo was honored with the prestigious American Society of Biomechanics 2025 Goel Award for Translational Research in Biomechanics, setting the tone for a year of achievement. We also launched clinical pilots with Elizur Corporation, strengthened our European presence with Bio-Connect, and collaborated with both new and returning customers on projects that advanced the state of the science throughout the year. We introduced our latest wearable device, the PRO-004 prosthetic pylon emulator and a deep Q&A with long-time collaborator Dr. Kota Takahashi who inspired its creation.
Humotech’s work continued to earn recognition across the industry. We received the 2025 Robotics Innovation Award from The Robot Report and the Nasbite International Award for Outstanding Exporter. We were honored to participate in the Access to Success Accelerator where we learned so much about and shared our unique approach to leveraging and to improve access to lower limb prosthetics. We were named finalists in multiple competitions, including the Pittsburgh Technology Council Tech50 Awards (CEO of the Year and MedTech/Health IT Innovator of the Year) and Technical.ly’s Top Pittsburgh Tech Product of the Year. We're feeling so grateful. Thank you to all of these amazing organizations! 😊
Beyond awards, 2025 provided better than ever opportunities to share our story and impact. We appeared on Pittsburgh Today Live to showcase how Humotech is powering the future of human mobility, were featured over 20 times in other major media outlets, and released Season 2 of our Human Part of Humotech podcast series—honestly, we feel like our best stories are those that are all about those that have inspired us.
Making all of this possible is the small but mighty team of Carl Curran, Candice Caputo, Troy Bradbury, and Cassie Slarb who were joined by star interns Ashley Zeman, Prakhar Kiran, Angelo Stader , and Leyla Zwolinski, as well as our growing & amazing advisory board. This lean, mean, wearable robot building machine celebrated 10 years in business this year—a feat we could not have accomplished without the grit & ingenuity of these team members, and the belief in us our community inspires us with.
From groundbreaking research and strategic partnerships to customer-driven projects and industry recognition, 2025 was a year of learning, growth, and meaningful progress. We've got BIG plans for 2026, and can’t wait to collaborate with you to improve the technology that helps people achieve their mobility goals!
