"I’ve always loved to run, and supporting the Cancer Care Fund gives each mile real purpose. My first half marathon becomes more than a challenge—it becomes a chance to create meaningful impact."

This year, our team is working toward an $8,000 goal to support the Passavant Hospital Foundation Cancer Care Fund, which helps oncology patients with basic needs like food, shelter, and transportation during treatment. Since 2014, this fund has supported over 370 patients, totaling nearly $137,000 in assistance.

"For almost a decade, I’ve been honored to run for and volunteer with Passavant Hospital Foundation. Growing up in the North Hills, my family has often depended on Passavant, and that bond drives my commitment to this community. I run to help ensure they have the basics—housing, transportation, meals—when they need it most."

"The energy in the city during race weekend is incredible—absolutely electric! Even though I’m not an elite runner, the spectators make you feel like one every step of the way. I’m running for my mother, my best friend and my rock, and for my friend Tom, who has met every challenge with a smile. Together, we’re raising funds to support others on their journey.
