Penn Hills Families: We understand that recent changes to SNAP benefits may make it more difficult for some households to access food. The Penn Hills School District has food assistance resources available, as well as connections to local food banks and community programs that can help.

Pennsylvania SNAP benefits have been put on pause due to Congress’s budget impasse and the resulting government shutdown—a failure to serve the American people. People are struggling, and Americans feel failed by their government.

Although we don’t deliver food to individuals, we do work with organizations throughout the city that feed our neighbors. Are you or someone you know in need of a meal this Thanksgiving? Pittsburgh Police will once again be hand-delivering meals to those in need on Thanksgiving Day in the City of Pittsburgh! The deadline to request a meal is Saturday, November 15.
