STAFF SPOTLIGHT! Orlanda Covington has been a Care Manager with our Options program for nine years. In this role, Orlanda is responsible for coordinating support and services for senior citizens to help them remain healthy and safe in their homes. Orlanda states that she truly enjoys the meaningful conversations she has with consumers and that helping them locate services and support is a blessing. In her free time, Orlanda enjoys roller skating, hiking, and weekend getaways. .

CLIENT CORNER! Kim* sought support from Familylinks outpatient therapy services due to impulsivity and anger management challenges. She would often find herself being aggressive rather than assertive, using hurtful language with those she cared about most. With her therapist's help, Kim has performed well in role-play exercises, practicing how to respond to challenging situations without resorting to negative language. CLIENT CORNER! Jaxon* came to our shelter with a history of physical aggression against family members. Jaxon’s behavior continued after admittance to Familylinks’ residential program, eventually leading to a hospitalization. During his hospitalization, Familylinks staff remained involved in treatment planning and encouraged team members to consider an alternate placement more suitable to Jaxon’s age and behaviors. Upon learning of the waiting period for the new program, Familylinks agreed to Jaxon's return to ensure continuity of care and stability. Jaxon felt that Familylinks staff explained the new program to him and were invested in ensuring he received the support he needed. . *Names and images do not reflect actual clients of Familylinks.

STAFF SPOTLIGHT! Lisa Lehner is a Supports Coordinator and has been with Familylinks for 13 years. As a Supports Coordinator, Lisa works with children and adults to connect them with services that support their success across all aspects of their lives. This role also allows Lisa to be the voice for those who may otherwise go unheard. Lisa enjoys helping her clients to shape the trajectory of their lives based on their individual wants and needs. In her free time, Lisa enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, and attending concerts.

CLIENT CORNER! Jackie, a true sports enthusiast, always had a passion for tennis, golf, pickleball, and swimming. However, recently, Jackie has received health diagnoses that limit her levels of physical activity. After learning of Vintage Center for Active Adults and the low-impact exercise activities available, Jackie signed up right away. Jackie also enjoys the socialization during mealtime at Vintage. Jackie considers Vintage a gem for its efficient management and wide range of options to help seniors stay healthy and well-connected.
