ARNHEIM: Kathy Wolf Arnheim passed away swiftly and unexpectedly on Sunday December 28, 2025. She was a strong and resilient Breast Cancer survivor of over 30 years.

Born on August 1, 1948 to the late Irwin and Flossie (Cromer) Wolf. Kathy was the cherished wife of the late Stuart Arnheim, beloved mother of Julie Arnheim and Rachel (David) Neuhaus, and devoted Grandmother of Alex and Ben Neuhaus. She was the light of the family, made sure everyone's feelings were taken into account, and invited all to get together for holidays and other reasons. Kathy was the rock of her family and friends, a shoulder to lean on, an ear to listen, and a source of joy to anyone who knew her.

Continuing her family's legacy, Kathy was passionate about serving in the Jewish Community. She held volunteer roles as Membership Chair of NCJW, President of the Ladies Hospital Aide Society, and a Board member of Rodef Shalom Congregation. Samuel Matthew Levine
April 11, 2006 - December 16, 2025

Samuel (Sam) Levine passed away in his sleep surrounded by love in his home on December 16, 2025 at the age of 19 years, following a courageous 19 month battle with DIPG, a rare and aggressive brain tumor.

Sam was the beloved son of Stephen Levine and Kara Levine, and the cherished twin brother of Leah Levine. He was a deeply loved grandson of Rosalind and Farrel Levine, Michael and Pamela Levinson, and Suzanne and Carl Zittrer. Sam was also treasured by his aunts, uncles, cousins, a large extended family, many many friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Sam graduated from Upper St. Clair high school with high honors one month after his DIPG diagnosis. With initial intentions of attending Ohio State University on a Buckeye scholarship, after his diagnosis, Sam decided to attend the University of Pittsburgh, finally giving in to his love of Pitt since early childhood.

Sam loved watching and playing sports, had a true passion for life, and felt an extraordinary love for the people in his orbit. He valued friendships deeply and had a rare ability to make others feel seen, supported, and included. Whether in the school hallways, with his teammates and classmates, or simply spending time with friends, Sam thrived on connection and community. His kindness, determination, quiet humor, mischievous smile, easy laugh, and genuine care for others left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Sam faced his illness with remarkable courage, strength, and grace. Even in the most difficult moments, he remained thoughtful, resilient, and deeply himself, inspiring those around him by the way he lived and loved. Sam will be remembered always for his generous spirit, his unwavering determination, and the love he gave so freely. Sam will be profoundly missed and forever loved.

"It is more blessed to give than to receive." Acts 20:35

Jeffrey "Jeff" Edward Cohen passed away on November 29th peacefully in his home, in the presence of his family at the age of 68.

Throughout his year-long battle with duodenal adenocarcinoma, he continued to live his life on his terms, working as tirelessly as his body could handle and navigating as the protector of the family without complaint.

Jeff, a native of Pittsburgh, married his high-school sweetheart, Phyllis, in 1984, and they have since honored their wedding vows in more ways than one over the last 41 years.

He began his professional career in shoe sales working for Nike, learning of the opportunity when buying cleats for a minor league tryout. Pitching for Point Park University during their "College Word Series" seasons, he held a great love for the game. From watching Roberto Clemente's 3000th hit at Three Rivers Stadium with his grandma Lil to throwing batting practice to Barry Bonds, he was his daughter Aly's go to almanac for all things baseball during her years as a broadcaster for the Pittsburgh Pirates Pre and Postgame shows.

After several years in the shoe business, he moved the family back to Pittsburgh to begin his entrepreneurial career as owner of Weiss Provision Company, which now services some of the top country clubs and restaurants in the city as a meat wholesaler.

His stress reliever was always coaching. He loved coaching basketball, from Aly's AAU teams to Allderdice boys state finalists.

AJ, his son, followed in his coaching footsteps, eventually ending his career at Boston College to return home and run the business with his dad.

From Aly's broadcasting career to AJ's coaching, he was always their number one supporter and best critic, many times traveling all over the country.

He made many sacrifices in his journey making sure his family, friends and employees were taken care of.

Son of the late Norbert and Joanne Cohen, son-in-law of Harriet Kluchman, father-in-law of Gary Messer (Aly) and brother of Steven and Erin Cohen and uncle to Rachel and Michael Cohen.

There is no person who better embodies "it is more blessed to give than to receive" than Jeff.

His family is grateful for any donation that is made in Jeff's memory. They are asking to please make donations to your local community food bank.

Lawrence (Larry) Levine, who celebrated his 100th birthday August 31, 2025, passed away November 17, 2025.

Larry, a man of few words, was a man of decisive action. Brave and tenacious, he was his family's anchor, a loyal friend, and a dedicated contributor to his community, providing support without judgement.

Survived by his loving children: Barbara Levine-Ritterman (Robin) of New Haven, CT, Harry Levine (Roberta Mintz) of Pittsburgh, PA, and Richard Levine (Leslie) of Pittsburgh; eight grandchildren: Alex Levine (Yvette Levine) of Pittsburgh, Sophia Levine of Hollywood, CA, Peter Levine of West Hollywood, CA, Casia Levine of East Hollywood, CA; CeeJay Levine of Morristown, VT, Lizz Levine Welhouse (Matt) of Waterford, MI; Maya Levine-Ritterman of Boston, MA, and Joshua Levine-Ritterman of New Haven, CT; and great-grandson, Kai James Levine Welhouse; his brother, Stanley (Patty) Levine, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. His beloved wife of 72 years, Claire Berland Levine, passed away in 2022.

Larry was born and raised in the Squirrel Hill neighborhood of Pittsburgh and graduated from Taylor Allderdice High School. His studies at Carnegie Tech were interrupted by WWII; he was drafted into the Army January 11, 1944. A year later, he was wounded behind German lines during the battles of the Colmar Pocket in Alsace, France. Larry made his way back to safety and was awarded a Purple Heart.

Upon his return to Pittsburgh, Larry continued engineering studies at Carnegie Tech. When his father, the late Harry Levine, developed Hodgkin's disease, Larry left Carnegie Tech to join the family business, Levine Bros. Hardware, in Homestead, PA. When his father passed away in 1952, he became a partner with his brother Stanley Levine, operating the business for more than 50 years. Larry and Stanley also managed their family's real estate holdings and collaborated with their cousins in developing the Duquesne Village Shopping Center in West Mifflin.

Larry was community oriented, serving in major roles with the Rotary Club, Steel Valley Arts Council, the Homestead Chapter of the National Association for Colored People, and the Homestead Economic Revitalization Committee. He was a founding member of Temple David in Monroeville.

Larry and Claire were politically engaged, participating in marches in support of civil rights and against the war in Vietnam. They were supporters of Planned Parenthood and the ACLU, among many other causes, and gave generously to many charitable and political entities. The couple enjoyed traveling, often with close friends, and visited Alaska, the Amazon, Antarctica, Israel, England, Ireland, France, Spain, Peru and India.

Larry was an Eagle Scout who pursued outdoor activities with enthusiasm. As a young man, he and his friend, Carl Levy, taught themselves to ski in Schenley Park by studying how-to books from Carnegie Library. He skied into his 80s and sailed into his 90s. Larry loved being with family and friends at the Conneaut Lake summer home he commissioned in the early 1960s. He recently celebrated his 100th birthday there.

Our heartfelt thanks to everyone whose love and care surrounded Larry throughout the final years of his life. May Larry rest in Peace.

Donations in Larry's honor may be made to Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank, Planned Parenthood, or the Jewish Community Center. Friends and family will be received at the Ralph Schugar Chapel Inc. for visitation at 12 noon on Friday, November 21, 2025 with the Funeral Service following at 1 PM. Interment will be at the Beth Shalom Cemetery directly after the service. www.schugar.com
