Our middle school students recently had a fantastic time at ACEC/PA STEAM Day at the Commonwealth Charter Academy in Homestead!

They explored hands on activities like riding as Port Authority Transit passengers, operating construction equipment, building arches, flying drones…all while connecting science, technology, engineering, art, and math to real-world experiences.

An inspiring day of learning and discovery! , , 🙌

🌿💚 Growing Kindness for Our Earth 💚🌿

Students in the Templer classroom put their creativity to work with artwork inspired by an important question: What can we do to help the Earth? 🌱

Their artwork reminds us to carry this message—that every day is Earth Day, and we should always be caring for and protecting our planet. 🌍💚 Our students have thoughtful ideas and big hearts, encouraging all of us to make small choices that add up to a big difference.

We are so proud of their compassion and commitment to making the world a better place!

We were excited to welcome Pittsburgh based authors, Cristina Rouvalis and Lydia Wayman to Pace School! They shared their book that students read, Snoopers and Sneakers. It’s about two friends, one of whom has autism.

They guided students in describing the main character and had them practice being authors using character traits.

A meaningful visit that sparked creativity and lots of good questions and discussion! ,

Today we showed our support for Autism Awareness by wearing red ❤️

It wasn’t just the staff who participated—our students joined in too, making the day even more meaningful. Seeing everyone come together in support, unity, and understanding was truly inspiring.

Moments like these remind us of the importance of inclusion, acceptance, and celebrating what makes each of us unique. 🌟

We’re just as excited as everyone else about the NFL Draft in Pittsburgh—what an incredible moment for our city!

But while future football stars are getting drafted… our students are still drafting bright futures of their own. 💡✨

So yes—we love football, we love the energy, and we love our hometown pride… BUT school is still in session! However, possibility does exist that transportation for your child may be delayed. All questions or inquiries should be directed to your child’s transportation company. Pace School does not provide student transportation; your home school district is responsible for services. ,

Black & Gold spirit was shining bright today at Pace School! 🖤💛

Students and staff showed up in their best black and gold gear—jerseys, shirts, and plenty of hats—to celebrate and cheer on the Pittsburgh Penguins as they head into the playoff season for the first time since 2022!

The energy, excitement, and team pride were felt all throughout the school. Let’s go Pens! 🐧🏒(photos by our student photographer) , ,

The Ohr Classroom stepped up to the plate to celebrate Jackie Robinson Day! Students dove into his inspiring story, learning about his impact on baseball and history. They created timelines of his life, brought legacy to life through artwork, and shared what they learned.

And the fun didn’t stop there… students enjoyed a short game of baseball followed by a sweet treat served in a baseball hat!
