Last night’s episode of The Pitt did more than just deliver drama, it highlighted a critical truth. Community health centers - like North Side Christian Health Center - are the safety net for thousands of families navigating a fragmented healthcare system.

Season 2 of The Pitt continues its unflinching examination of America’s health care system, placing equal narrative weight on the lives of patients and the moral strain carried by physicians. Rather than simplifying complex issues, the series humanizes the quiet crises that unfold every day in eme...

This Patient Recognition Week, we give thanks for our patients who are at the heart of everything we do. We're grateful for the opportunity to serve our community with compassionate, Christ-centered care.

National Patient Appreciation Week is more than just an observance; it’s a movement toward a more patient-centric approach in healthcare. This is a time to renew our commitment to the highest quality care by listening to our patients, the heart of what we do. When patients feel valued, their trust...

Today is National Day of Racial Healing, a time to pause, reflect, and commit to building a more just and compassionate world.

Racial healing begins with honest conversations, active listening, and a willingness to understand experiences different from our own. It calls us to confront bias, honor our shared humanity, and work together to create spaces where everyone feels seen, valued, and safe. May today inspire learning, connection, and action—not just today, but every day.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. taught us that “injustice in health is the most shocking and inhuman.” His vision of equality extends to the right of every person to live a healthy life. Today and every day, North Side Christian Health Center strives to make that vision a reality for our neighbors.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. understood that health inequality was not just a medical issue, but a moral and social injustice rooted in racism, poverty, and unequal access to opportunity. He believed that a person’s health should never be determined by the color of their skin, their income, or their...
