💜 Purple Day for Epilepsy Awareness — March 26 💜
📅🌍 Purple Day encourages everyone to learn more, spread understanding, and stand in support of those living with epilepsy.
Purple Day was started in 2008 by Cassidy Megan, a young girl from Canada who wanted people with epilepsy to feel understood and less alone. Since then, individuals, schools, workplaces, and communities around the world have worn purple, hosted events, and shared stories to help reduce stigma and raise awareness.
💡 Why it matters:
• Epilepsy affects millions globally. Many face misunderstanding, stigma, and isolation.
• Awareness helps improve support, education, and access to care.
• Small actions, like wearing purple or sharing facts make a big difference in building empathy and community.
💜 Let’s keep the conversation going because every gesture of support helps create a world where no one with epilepsy feels alone.
