What does self-care look like to you?
I know this term gets used to commodify anything from clothes to candles to yoga classes to, yes, massage therapy. That can be frustrating and overwhelming!!
One way it can be helpful to frame all of the many things that are thrown at us is to set aside both TIME (ideally, weekly) to spend just with ourselves; and also, a $budget$ that we dedicate to care for our bodies and our minds. That could include a gym membership, a regular massage, therapy co-pays, etc. Regardless of what you use it for and how big or small your time and financial budget is, it is helpful to figure it out beforehand so you don't constantly have to battle yourself to set aside those things AFTER you're in a health crisis.
As we go into 2022, plan not only for what you hope to "achieve" - plan also for what you hope to surrender.
I'll hope to see you on the table - but even more so, I'll hope you are finding time for yourself amidst the chaos of our ever-changing world.
